Corras Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Hi guys, I’m David , currently 26 years old and I’m from Germany. im a huge fan of Lego / bricks except of that I love horror and pc games. the last Lego set that I built was the Home Alone set. It was so enjoyable that I built it three times. In that moment I just couldn’t stop building lol. Though, for me the home alone house had also some weaknesses that could’ve been made better after that I was thrilled and hooked up with building bricks again. But what keeps putting me off is the lack of themes FOR MY TASTE as I’m a horror fan Lego doesn’t offer any sets for me at all. Of course some other things take my interest such as the home alone house. But there’s only a few little things beside horror that take my interest such as underwater or NASA related things.another problem of mine is that if a set such as the home alone house takes my interest they’re of course pricy. as i couldn’t find anything easily affordable that would take my interest I wanted to build something on my own. I decided I would like to build the the walking dead prison. Thinking and hoping I’d be capable to bring it to life i ordered bricks as many as I thought I’d need. Then I had to cancel my project due to a Shop betraying me. which has now put me back to not building at all hoping I’ll not need a lawyer for this awful situation. recently sets from another brand have caught my eye, but that they’re nearly as expensive as Lego even though they’re not Lego is kinda putting me off as well. i didn’t think that starting to build Lego from the scratches would be such a horrifying and expensive experience just because of one shop. Yperio_Bricks Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Welcome to the forum! I hope you get things sorted with that shop. Do you know the Lego Hidden Side theme? It's not exactly horror, but some spooky adventure theme or whatever you want to call it It was a short lived theme, aimed at kids, but the sets were great Quote
A_Forest_of_Lego Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 Hi, nice to meet you! I love the horror theme too, but I can understand why Lego would choose themes that are more appropriate for kids. Luckily, we can create our own MOCs! Quote
