Nice!!!

Since I purchased the #8226 Mud Masher "back then", I was thinking about making this tilting steering mechanism come alive with remote control.

Very nice indeed! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks...

I am fascinated by the simplicity. two oblique axes transmit the tilting movement...without changing the steering "track" (or what is the angle of inclination of the wheel called?)

I was initially presented in Technic (8226 - Mud Masher8252 - Beach Buster, etc) but still with various track widths due to conventional hubs+steering rack parallelogram scheme rather than a fixed tilted axle.
However, the "tilt-axle" scheme now appears in System/City sets with the use of simple and compact part LEGO PART 69964 Vehicle Axle with Steering Clip and Pins - Black | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO.
