I'm trying now to build two other modifications of John Deere 9620R, they were my very first idea when I ever found the number of sub-models of this machine:

  • John Deere 9620T with a pair of rubber tracks and without rear articulated part.
  • John Deere 9620RX (a lazy modification) with triangle tracks instead of wheels.

Who says i have to add my mod to the first post? I just did this topic to see what mods people come up with!

I don't have the model yet! There are no such rules!

The title of your thread creates certain expectations. At least I and probably other people too were expecting to see your mods or any other substantial contribution/content. I was a bit disappointed to see nothing.

You could have made it obvious in the title or at least in you first post, that you are looking for mods and don't have any by yourself because you don't have the set yet.

Half alternate model, the SIlage Blade, with instructions :)

Very easy but cool alternative :-)

But the blade too wide for my taste, you could easily take out the most outward mounted panels and even the 1x7 liftarms and still have a decent size :D

But then it will be not 100% parts usage ;)

There might be a way to actually put in a 4WD without widening the chassis and still keep steering function as it was. The trick is to use 2 pairs of bevel gears to go around the rear differential down to the turning table.
But there is no chance for a fake engine under the hood with a mounted front differential. Rear wheel diff only with fake engine might work though.42136_mod_1.jpg

Lego Technic 42136 4x4 mod and engine..

This mod maintains the original build to the best I can design with the original wheelbase and height. It’s only 1 brick longer due to rear differential design.

Features:

AWD 4x4 drivetrain

Mini 4 cylinder engine

Detail engine with radiator

The turntable for now is to provide the turning pivot and in a future revised I need to raise the rear top lid section by one brick to fit the steering mechanism.. I just wanted to show a working prototype !!  But I just received the Technic 42139 yesterday and I’m building in a awesome model B

You’re right!! I’ll fix that my friend!!
