What is Lego doing with this license? We know they have it, probably since Dimensions year 3 rumours, they released a Brickhead. And since then nothing, can't they make a Monster Fighters like theme with Universal Monsters? Or it's too soon since Hidden Side ended? I just feel they are wasting the license.

I feel the exact same way towards Adventure Time, Doctor Who, Scooby-Doo and other licensed themes.

Scooby Doo didn't meet sale goals. Doctor Who has the Tardis, what else would you do? Is adventure Time still popular? The PowerPuff Girls were a bust so maybe that put the hold on other 1-2 off sets from different licenses.

I say we didn't get a Universal Monster theme as the movie franchise fell apart and Hidden Side was around.

I think Universal Monsters would be great for CMF Series instead of regular sets.

I mean, I hope Scooby-Doo would make a comeback one day! Velma should have mid legs and Mystery Machine car may need to be remodeled in future.

I really really wish Doctor Who. Other than Tardis, it would be cool to see different villainous forces, such as Dalek, Weeping Angels, Cybermen in differnet historical time period.

And I’m in favor of Monster Fighters’ comeback in future. But Universal Monsters sound cool tho. _

Yeah CMFs for monsters or Doctor Who would be ideal. Monsters might also be good as those minifig accessory packs - three figures and some builds.

Ya I would love to get a Monsters CMF Series.

Scooby Doo and Doctor Who would also be great for a comeback in my opinion at least, I got the original Mystery Machine and that set is great. I did get that Doctor Who Dimensions level pack with a small Tardis and a Dalek, but an updated minifigure scaled one would be cool.

Exactly. I think CMF would be perfectly ideal for these monsters. We need different Doctor variants, such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on until 13th Doctor (And of course, War Doctor) and Master variants too.

Mmm minifigure accessory pack actaully sounds good for monsters!

What about IDEA Doctor Who idea? It has minifigure-scale Tardis. But I never owned that IDEA set and I do own Mystery Machine. I hope both Doctor Who and Scooby-Doo make come back one day. :)

I forgot about that Doctor Who IDEA set, never owned it. Getting all of the different doctors as minifigures would be really nice.

What about Adventure Time? That also needs to make a LEGO comeback eventually.

Sorry, I’m not familiar with Adventure Time but I did hear a lot about the cartoon TV show. Well, I love collecting minifigures so I may not mind about Adventure Time Sereis. :)

That’s okay. Why don’t we get back on topic with LEGO Universal Monsters?

When did Dimensions have universal monsters?

Dimensions had a bunch of license that never got made because the game was a massive failure. A Missy Doctor Who pack, Flintstones, Shrek just off the top of my head.

Agreed.

As I mentioend in my own posts, I think CMF Series would be perfect for Universal Monsters. I am not sure how TLG do with regular sets when it comes to Univerl Monsers? Sure we do had a great in-house theme, Monster Fighters in the past.  Maybe they don’t want to risk by making regular sets and end up being disappointed with sale results.

I would love Universal Monster minifigs but don't see it having enough appeal unless they cross with other themes.

I apologize for possibly derailing the thread again.

Monsters worked well with Hidden Side, Scooby Doo and Monster Fighter sets (or is it Hunters?)

Some of my fave cmfs in the past were the monsters. Would love (and here again I possibly derail the topic) Scooby Doo crossovers. The show often had crossovers with monsters, celebs and even Batman. Fantastic missed opportunity

So if there were 12 figures what should they be

1. Bela Lugosi Dracula

2. Frankenstein

3. Bride of Frankenstein

4. Invisible Man

5. Wolfman

6. Creature of the Black Lagoon

7. Phantom of the Opera

8. The Mummy

9. Hunchback of Notre Dame

Then I'm not sure so I would want

10. Count Orlock (idk if this counts)

11. Dr. Van Helsing

12. Dr. Frankenstein

I would love this! Vignettes with each would be really interesting also! Hunchback of Notre Dame and Phantom of the Opera would be really interesting. I hadn't considered Van Helsing. Invisible Man could be a really fun minifigure
