Hi all,

I recently got the 42114 set, and when the hub is connected, the indicator light is white. I remember for my 42099 set, the light is blue when connected to Bluetooth. Is this normal? It did have me update my firmware before running the controller in the Control+ app, so maybe it’s just a new firmware? I’m sure it’s original LEGO though. I haven’t used my hub from the 42099 set for a few months now, so I’m guessing maybe it’s changed since then.

Any help is appreciated!

Yeah and because of that and the lack of update, the new firmware does not work with Brick Controller 2.. :( Good that I have two more where I did not update the Firmware + did not use the Pybricks.

By the way, @kbalage did you have issues while using Pybricks with modified Buggy (2x drive, 1x steering)? It is driving badly, steering is stuck very often. That is when I did discover that new Lego Firmware does not working with BC2.

@blondasek I had no issues with BC2, the last update was some time ago so I assume most of my hubs have the latest firmware. I'm pretty busy with reviews now but I'll check sometimes next week. Did you try to force a re-update of your firmware to check with BC2, or did you get a chance to test with multiple hubs?

Hey @kbalage. I have 3 hubs only and one has the newest firmware from yesterday (white light), two are on older one. I did remove the BC2 with the data, to see if it will connect to the hub. but it is finding it and displaying an error while trying to connect. I do not want to test further and updating any other of my hubs as I am actively using them with BC2 and the controller :( (really hope that Lego will implement this...).

Try a forced firmware update. Turn off the hub, start up the app, wait for the connection screen, then press and hold the green button on the hub. After ~8-10 seconds the led should start flashing first in purple then in different colors, then you can release the button and the app will automatically start the firmware update. Once finished you can check if it connects normally or not.

Did it and it is working! :) Hah, that is good to know that the fw update can mess with the hub. Ufff :) Thank you!
