Tax Collecting for Batuhan

Aarash and his ‘crew’ must periodically take-up the unpleasant, and often times rough, job of collecting taxes. While some of the citizenry enjoy the organized protection of the Batuhan guard, others need convincing.

Spoiler

I put together these figures for the CCCXIX’s “Your Crew” category.

Nice figs! Very...classic. I really like the heads you chose for each of them, especially for the guy with the band aid - looks like a rather funny and mischievous fellow!

Really like the prints on some of these guys - its easy to forget that the older minfigure torsos could still have a lot of detail!

I'll second what Aurore said - "band-aid guy" is my favorite of the bunch. That facial expression gives him so much personality - I imagine he got that band-aid from trying to tax some "ill-tempered" folks!

Fun pic @jtooker. Do I recognise the epic wall of Batuhan?

Also, I just found your presentation on Castle MOC Building. Very helpful!

@Aurore, thanks!  I thought he made an interesting character.  I meant to give names and a bit of description to each fig, but forgot when posting.

@socalbricks, I like them, it took me a while to land on the 'uniform' of a Batuhan guard, but really like red torso (mail or dragonmasters) with gray/bley arms/legs.  The style is inspired by some of the Kingdoms' Lion Knights.

Yes you do!  It is the back side, which I don't think I've posted pictures of the new section.  I'd been meaning to publish a fig-barf of the Batuhan Guard; the CCC seemed like a good excuse and I thought this MOC made a better background than none at all or a simple irregular baseplate design.  I'll probably reuse the idea for the Brickscalibur's Monarchic Minifigures by changing up Aarash's clothes and adding more 'court' figures.

I'm glad the presentation was helpful.  Link for anyone interested: https://jtooker.com/files/CastleMOCs.pdf (6MB)

Nice! The wall works great as a background, makes perfect sense, and saves you time! Yes, I’m sure there would have been even more useful information when you presented it too. 😊
