I recently moved into a really small apartment, and haven't quite figured out how to display my larger sets (specifically my Hogwarts display and 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay) that are too big to put on wall shelves. Anyone here have experience displaying larger sets like this in a small space? Any suggestions?

I managed to get quite a few bigger sets displayed in my small old room. I decided to build a city, made jungle, sea and the city itself. :pir-devil: Most of the buildings in the city are from actual sets (some are Hogwarts parts) and jungle consists of a lot of trees from sets, in the sea I built two custom islands from Barracuda Bay set (my latest addition to the city scene) and added the Barracuda herself in there.

If we were to talk Creator Expert cars then that's a long shot, I don't have any advice on that subject unless simply not buying them, they are cool as display pieces but present no actual value in such a city scene as mine or anyone elses. Hope this helps!

You could display them under a glass coffee table, especially if you get one that has a glass undershelf.  If you have enough room for a coffee table, that is!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I ended up managing to squeeze a 2 x 2 Ikea Kallax shelf unit into my space which now has 2 shelves (and the top) dedicated to sets. It doesn't hold quite as much as I'd like so I'll probably have to downsize a bit, but overall so far so good!

Glad you found a solution, as someone that lives in a less than 400sq. foot apartment, I feel your pain. All my LEGO is displayed with very little space in between sets, actually crammed together so the are touching each other. I use a lot of wall mounted shelves, that require no floor space. As such I tend to store many sets and occasionally rotate between storage and display. Still wondering what the hell I am going to do with my most recent purchase though, the Passenger Train, lol.

You may be able to suspend sets from the ceiling using fishing wire.
You have to make sure the attachments are secure and can take the weight of course, but it can often be done. I have suspended smaller sets from rafters. There’s footage on YouTube of AFOLs showing their LEGO rooms in which large sets have been hung from the ceiling. It’s feasible.
