Hello and sorry if this is the wrong section to ask.

I am no spring chicken and got this for me and my grandson when he showed interest after a few small kits.

I have experience with RC models so the build is no probs. I am used to lubricating and greasing of plastic parts in RC.

Do you guys lubricate at all the gears or trans? what about the phumatic cylinders?

Any quick tips will be great, thanks

I think lubing up LEGO components isn't something a lot of people do. It's not unheard of, but I think it isn't necessary outside of high power MOC applications.

Really only needed if you are doing something at really high speeds.  Lego motors don't really only meet that speed.  The only time I have ever done it is when using my pneumatic engine. FOr high torque applications, like others have said, not necessary

If they are new, there should be no need to lubricate them. If they are old and the friction is significantly higher, then it might be worth it. Here is a thread about how to do that.

BTW, welcome to Eurobricks :-)
