Can I spend VIP points on bricks & pieces orders

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum on EB but here it goes:

I have 16,286 VIP points and currently have a bricks and pieces basket of £141.25, is it possible to use my VIP points to pay for this, or at least pay for most of this?

If so, how do I do it?

Yup, you can use your points for that (at least in the USA). Log in to Lego VIP rewards. (I'm assuming you have an online order started.) Redeem points/pounds under "Get A Discount At LEGO.com". You will get emails containing codes for each amount you redeemed which will be used at check out when you complete your order. I would suggest that you only redeem 140 pounds worth or less, and pay the difference including tax and shipping.  (Sorry, being an American I may not have used the correct words.) Hopefully the UK Lego website is enough like the USA counterpart to understand what I'm telling you. I hope this helps.

hmm I couldnt find any of the options you said, only option I found was 'rewards' where you can buy vouchers that are worth up to £100 using the vip points. But, while it says the voucher works for lego.com online orders, i'm not sure if this will work for lego bricks and pieces orders.

There is a place for vip vouchers in the checkout, in the left hand side of the page near the payment type.

It looks like you haven't started the checkout process yet. When you go through the checkout there is a place to put the vip discount code right above the "pay with gift card" field.

After you redeem your points for a voucher you should get an email with a code within a few minutes. (be sure to check your junkmail)

But the vouchers are for £100, £50, £20, £10 and £5 so how the heck am I supposed to pay £141.81 + delivery!?

LEGO are serioustly taking the piss right now and I'll be complaining like mad soon for treating me this way.

Never mind that I have spent tens of thousands of pounds on lego products.

They can shove their scamming tactice up their big behind I'm not fooled by it at all.

VIP POINTS SHOULD BE EQUIVELANT IN EVERY WAY TO COINS / NOTES OTHERWISE ITS A SCAM. WHY HAS THE VIP PROGRAMME BEEN SCREWED UP?!?!?

well you're wrong because I spent 16,000 points on the 100£ voucher but now I dont have enough for any more vouchers.

so yeah, it is a scam. This is why I didnt want to use these stupid vouchers in the first place!

IDK why the VIP programme used to be great and now it sucks.

I understand being frustrated with a site when there’s  trouble placing/completing an order, but it’s not bad at all, certainly isn’t a scam...the vouchers are just an extra unnecessary hoop to jump through. The value hasn’t changed. Maybe I’m not seeing the issue...you exchanged points for VIP dollars but it wasn’t enough to cover your whole order?

They do have a fixed monetary value. In the UK, they are 800 points equals £5. If you want them to cover the full product price, then order less than you currently are ordering.

That's not what I heard, some how come one £100 voucher is worth 16000 points, and 1 £50 voucher is worth 8000 but then a £20 voucher is worth 3200 points and a £5 voucher is worth 800 points

That does not add up so you're wrong.

16000 points divided by £100 is 160 points per £1.

8000 divided by £50  is also 160 points per £1.

3200 divided by £20 is, guess what, 160 points per £1.

And finally 800 divided by £5 is .... 160 points per £1.

But if you think I'm wrong, that's fine.
