What do you do if you get 28 mudguards in a LEGO bulk buy? Yes, that’s right. You build a spaceship with them. Meet ACE (Asteroid Crystal Excavator). This chap braves the perilous boulder belts of our Solar System drilling into asteroids and filtering them through the gills either side of his ship searching for precious metals, gems and relics. He can also catch anything that tries to float away using the ships rear mounted pincer grips. And all that booty is stored in convenient compartments either side of the engine for the long trip back home. Thanks for looking :)

Bravo for finding a good use for those pesky mudguards! I remember grabbing a good handful from my local Pick-a-Brick wall years ago, thinking they would come in useful somewhere... they are still somewhere in a tub waiting to be used

Very nice mix of sleek shapes and hard edges to encapsulate the aesthetic of a futuristic spaceship and an industrial machine.

Thanks. Yeah what is it with these things? It's like Lego couldn't give them away, they're everywhere! There are about another 50 in my kids lego box. And they're all dbg too.

Interesting design. Any ability to use the wheel mudguards is cool.

Thanks! yeah I had to do something with them. I was never going to make a car, that's for sure. :pir-tongue:
