I’m currently modifying an alternate model of set 42098, and I want to make a crane for it. I want to keep it only to 42098 parts, so there are no linear actuators. Is it possible to make a crane without linear actuators? I had the idea of letting this axle (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=63965&idColor=11#T=C&C=11) slide trough a pin or a axle hole, but I can’t figure out how to connect them.

Anyone any ideas? (not necesarrily based on my idea, any idea is welcome)

There are 3 wormgears and 2 gear racks. One gear rack could be used as main actuator.

Good idea, I think that's doable
