(though I have corrected any mistake in your message for the quote). Yes, there's alcohol in some sets, but no drugs, no display of violence, torture or dismemberment, and no display of drunkenness, so it's always kid-friendly understand your point for 1), but I still feel like it would be disappointing to have a set where parts of the build. As for the fire brigade, I always thought it was one's job to just use a few fire pieces to create one for your display. The modular homeless shelter could probably work, but even then, they'd be much likelier to make a long-term care or physical rehabilitation facility. Fun talk, and I'd love to see a courthouse... You are right that are no drugs, no display of violence. Maybe minifigures manage to stay looking “nomral” when they are drunk? Sory it’s a bad joke! Probably that’s true about a burnt-down buidling disappointing Modular fans. Once again I think it would be cool to have two sections - one burnt down and one renovated/renovated for that building. Again, Just like Daily Bugle, it has some damaged parts of that building. There are alternative “restored” parts to switch ht damaged ones. it may not work well for nomral Modular Building Collection. We shall see! I feel a modular homeless shelter could be more safe for Lego to design and expand our cities. Something charitable we need in Modular. Hehe… you know i did say “court dismissed…” :) I would love to see a courthouse someday as well! Quote
Silverhurst Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 (edited) You can always burn down one of your existing modulars. Somewhere around there is a great build of the Palace Cinema where the building is burned and boarded up. I have pics of it in my moc folder. edit - here is a link: I think there was another one too. I'll see if I can find it. Edited September 13, 2023 by Silverhurst Quote
Lion King Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I like that burnt cinema! However, I can’t do MOCs becuase I’m visually impaired. It means I don’t know what colors I need to swap or how can I remove or add some pieces without person’s asssistance (even if they don’t know what I want to MOC exactly). That being said, I preer following the offical building instructions since person can look over pages while navigating me to build Modular Buildings. So…I’m saying I would like to see a burnt-down modular building right from Lego. Of course, it won’t be likely for Lego to produce that… Thanks for your bes suggestion, anyways, I appreciate that. Silverhurst Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Well, there is an off brand product out there that have redone Palace Cinema and Brick Bank that appear to be dystopian/abandoned buildings in different colors than original. Wouldn't recommend them for obvious reasons, but if you want/need something like that and are unable to MOC... Quote
RichardGoring Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 There are instructions for most of the modulars on Rebrickable in an apocalypse form - LEGO apocalypse MOCs with Building Instructions | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO I think they look pretty cool. For example: Quote

Lion King Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I know they tend to release one Modula Building per year but I don’t like waiting for another 12 months after the release. What if they release 32x32 buildin in January and a smaller, cheap 16x32 building in summer? Sure, it is unlikely but I think it’s cool to have a small modular building just like Bookshop set that has two 16x32 baseplates. More fun and easy to arrange around your city! Ideally, it wold be between $70 - $150 for a 16x32 building with two or three floors. Okay, here is my wishlist for 16x32 buildings… 1.) Apartment Building (different archeictures, differnet styles) 2.) Townhouse (same for Apartment above) 3.) Doctor’s Clinic 4.) Psychologist’s Office 5.) Bowling Alley 6.) Park (with sculptures and a small duck pond) 7.) Daycare 8.) Cemetry (Yeah, yeah it’s not likely for Modulars but so what? It’s cool to have cemetry for Hallowe’en with some ghosts!) 9.) Fortune Teller’s Shop 10.) Jewelry Shop 11.) Antique Shop 12.) Townhouse with Alleyway 13.) Pharmacy 14.) Bar (again, yeah yeah, not likely but we have alcohol in both Boutique Hotel and Jazz Club) 15.) Haunted/Rundown House (with ghosts!) 16.) Post Office 19.) Noodle Shop (with apartment above and delivery bike) 20.) Laundmot (we need more laundmot as city is getting bigger with overpopulation LOL) 21.) Travel Agency 22.) Insurance Office WHEW, my brain was so full of ideas…. Quote
Lion King Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 It has been a decade since the Lego Movie came out, I wish e cold get Emmett’s apartment set as a 10th annivesary tribute. Quote

Not to be a downer, but Emmett's actual apartment doesn't fit in the building it's supposed to, so it would have to be HEAVILY condensed / modified in such a major way as to be unrecognizable. And anyway, the building exterior is just a majorly modified town hall set... which itself didn't sell well as a modular building upon release, so I doubt Lego would want to make another one. Also, 2024's building was released already (Museum) so that 10-year window has passed. As for other options for a future tribute, Octan HQ skyscraper (with detachable top section!) might work better at the 15 year mark. Quote

Anyways, you are probalby right about the original Town Hall set itself but i feel that Emmett’s apartment building is a different story. I have seen some AFOls doing MOC versions of that Emmett’s apartment online and I love thier ideas. It does have charms. I don’t think Museum is the 2024 Modular blading, according to the offical Lego webpage. Both Jazz clu and Museum are 2023 buidling buildings. Just like 2007 has two modular buildings… if you want Octan HQ skyscraper that is made out of at least 10,000 bricks plus endless aisles and rows of desks where robot employees sit at,then sure! I always wish for 4/5-story skyscraper but it’s too soon. It’s becuase we just hae a 1.5 modular building (Museum) after the 7-years-old Assembly Squre’s retirement. 20th annivesary set will arrive in 2027. Quote
Lion King Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 I keep wishing that lego would do something differnet and unique that Modular Town is waiting for - Sushi House! I feel it would be perfect for a corner building…. With roof around a building and there would be a cherry blossom tree down street. Quote

ddavid Posted September 6 Posted September 6 (edited) As previously mentioned, more healthcare oriented professionals would be greatly appreciated. We already have a dentist in AS and a Vet in CG and a small clinic would be greatly appreciated. The Modular street is set within small town, so I wouldn’t expect a hospital. In addition to a clinic, a pharmacy, a grocery store, a post office, a school and a library are the major amenities for a small town that are still missing. and we have I think already enough restaurants ;) ! lifeinplastic Posted September 8 Posted September 8 If the building is multiple use, I quite like the idea of an Optician’s (if it came with a printed Snellen Chart tile e.g. with the decreasing letter sizes). A paychiatrist’s office with the cliché of a couch would also fit in nicely with Lego’s values of inclusiveness (it’s OK to not be OK). A Travel Agency would be my pick provided there were lots of printed tiles representing a large map of the world, plus numerous travel posters showing exotic or iconic destinations (nothing naff like Legoland though please). Lion King Posted September 29 Posted September 29 As the spooky season is coming within a few days, I wish Lego could introduce us to a spooky Modular Building - a Haunted Manor. I’m not a huge of making my own buildings or buying something off Rebrickable or whatever it is. In my imagination, Haunted Manor would have a few ghostly minifigures that haunt building, one ghost hunter, one medium, and one potential homeowner. A manor would include boarded-up windows, a hole in floor/ceiling between ground and second floors., a rat from Dungeon & Dragon CMF (just reuse it lol), a new printed “aged” portait of previous homeowners stored in its attic rotten furniture (maybe a few printed pieces?), a fenced, dead front garden. We just need some treats….or tricks! Although I’m not sure if this one will attract Modular Building collectors’ attention. And there is a Creator 3-in-1 haunted house set on shelf right now. It looks great. I still wish it’s more like Modular Building set. Quote

I suspect that LEGO would say they have 10228 Haunted House from Monster Fighters, 10273 Haunted House from Fairground Attractions, and 21341 Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters' Cottage from Ideas. And then while not a complete set out of the box, you have 31167 Haunted Mansion from 3in1 that you mentioned, and also 76453 Malfoy Manor from Harry Potter which could form the basis of a full modular, or work as smaller, more affordable entry points. Three of those are current sets, and one has only recently retired. If they did this in the official modular Icons line, then it will likely be a while so it doesn't compete with any of the current offerings. Quote
hikouki Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Outside of the 'usual' modulars, we have had some outliers like the Art-Deco Downtown Diner (which reportedly was not popular), and the more recent Tudor corner. It would be great if Lego could rotate these sub themes or other sub themes so that at least the Tudor corner is note lonely. LOL Quote

Unfortunately yes it would be a while for Lego to introduce us an official modular building set “Haunted Manor”. Therefore, it’s just my wishful thought, unless Lego is reading this one. I After seeing the number of haunted mansion sets (from Monster Fighters, Fairground, Creator 3-in-1, Super Mario, etc, etc), it seems that haunted buildings are “popular” for both kids and adults. That said, I wonder if Lego would do that for Modular Building line. Same way with Toy Store building for Modular Street. I wish it would include Christmas tree and some snow. However, it might look out of place as we don’t have snow in other modular building sets or Christmas tree (we have Winter Village sub theme). I don’t think how likely they will put an official modular building set into Winter Village. Quote
