Lasse Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 (edited) Saint Basil's Cathedral is an Orthodox church in Red Square of Moscow, and is one of the most popular cultural symbols of Russia. The building, now a museum, is officially known as the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat, or Pokrovsky Cathedral. It was built from 1555 to 1561 on orders from Ivan the Terrible and commemorates the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan. I spent about 2 months to build this LEGO model. JintaiZ Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 (edited) Amazing! The techniques used for the dome are mind-blowing. Edited March 14, 2021 by JintaiZ Quote
Vilhelm22 Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 Fantastic! Two months well spent in my humble opinion! I particularly like the two domes to either side of the foremost dome (if that makes sense?)! If religious structures were allowed in the Creator Expert Buildings line, St. Basil's would be possibly number one for me on my wanted list.... Quote
