Sariel Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 I thought the 10265 Ford Mustang was the best LEGO Creator Expert car ever. But that may no longer be valid: Quote
JintaiZ Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) Truly one of the best sets ever, just ticks so many boxes for me: Printed parts Little or no gaps between doors Tiled interior New parts Thanks for the review! Edited February 19, 2021 by JintaiZ Quote
nerdsforprez Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Great review. I agree that the box packaging is weird. Also, any idea with why they went with the bottom the way they did? Looks like greebling from a space or SW theme. Sure does not appear to fit... Quote
msk6003 Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 I'm still waiting my porsche and dumb PU batterybox.... I am excited now because I want vaillant porsche and still need find possable color but this set is perfect for it. Quote

For me it is still Ferrari F40, but who knows, when I'll buy this. But best thing for me was , that I discovered these creator expert cars as such. Quote
XenoRad Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) Great review! I don't mind the box but I would agree that a black background with just a faint touch of color is a bit boring. Something more like the Chiron box with a stronger background color would probably be better. I had a bigger problem with the instructions, but not by much. The black background sometimes made it difficult to distinguish between white and light bluish gray pieces, not to mention it looks like a waste of black ink. however, my biggest problem with the set is regarding the colors used for the front and rear axles as well as those dark orange pieces throughout the chassis. If it's an 18+ branded set there should be no need to have some many colors and incompatible colors at that next to each other. I'm generally not bothered by color coding but here I feel they went a bit overboard. Other than that it's a great set and I'm very happy to have gotten it. On a side note I'm starting to think whether (former) Creator Expert vehicles such as this one should start using more and more Technic parts. Granted, for accuracy system would still be better, but to have a chassis with a differential and working engine, or even some suspension would be great. Edited February 19, 2021 by XenoRad Quote
Good old Lego builder Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Thanks for the review. Great as allways. This seems like a very nice set. Love the targa, could mod it into an dutch Rijkspolitie (former state police) patrol car. Like this one: https://man-man.nl/rijkspolitie-porsche-911/ Quote
Dazzzy Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Great review! And a fantastic set! (just finished building it). @XenoRad I think that's where they're heading. I think we will see more functional parts if they keep evolving the Creator series like they have been. Quote
Void_S Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Great model but I still prefer Mustang to it... They both are the great step in Creator Expert models (versus older models) but I can't say the same comparing them individually. However I really like how the "modifications" feature is expanded.
