i've been thinking about buying it ever since i saw the images. do you think i should?

It’s really your money and up to you.  Does it work well with your current sets?  Are there other older sets that you want which will retire first so should be prioritised?  Honestly this question isn’t the best sort of thing for a topic, as we don’t know you, and can’t control what you buy.  I always go by the principle of buying when I really want a set, and the ones that are oldest first e.g. I’ll buy the 2019 modular before the 2020 one as it will likely be discontinued first.
