hi, i have seen this talked about in other thread before, but what do you all think mythica will be if it is a theme ? a castle theme ? a fantasy castle theme ? modern theme with mythical creatures ? a elves type theme that is fantasy ? i am curios to know what other people think

Sounds like a 'fantasy castle' theme to me. Personally, I would just like to see a new castle theme. The 'fantasy' part ruins it for me.

I think it will be a time traveling theme. Isn't that what the LEAF theme rumors were last year?

(In case people forgot, LEAF just turned out to be Mario mixed with The Monkey Kid figure leaks.

I disagree, having Fantasy elements makes it even more exciting and interesting. To this day, Fantasy Castle remains the best iteration of LEGO Castle we have ever gotten, in my opinion.

@caiman0637 and @Lego David, Judging by the logo and the teaser video, it’s fantasy, not history. I’m pleased about that but appreciate that not everyone will be.

Whether or not this attraction turns into a theme with actual LEGO sets is anyone’s guess. The only reason to think that it might is that LEGO sees kids’ attention as divided across a myriad of media and formats and therefore harder to reach through just one. As a result, it increasingly focuses on IP that intersects with kids’ lives at multiple points (e.g. Star Wars with its movies, streaming show, cartoons and video games). This could be an attempt to create in-house IP that connects with kids in a similarly diverse way. We will have a better idea if we start to see Mythica rolled out to other Legolands or appear in other media such as a LEGO Mythica cartoon. If that happens, it will be more likely there will be sets.

Nobody really knows as you can tell from other threads, so it is fairly pointless to have a dedicated thread on it right now. Hopefully once there is actual verified information on it, there will be a new thread not full of speculation and discussion about something unknown.

i think that it will probably be, if it is a theme  theme in the modern times with mythical creatures but i hope it will be a fantasy castle theme because lego has so many themes with fantasy things but in the modern world ( ninjago and monkey king ) wich i like, i think that a fantasy castle theme would be interesting and cool if it is a theme at all, it might not be

I'm the kind of guy that likes realistic stuff, so I just can't get into that.

well there is probably not going to be a historical castle theme, so i would think that people who like historical castle ( i like historical castle to ) would rather have fantasy castle then nothing ( if it is a castle theme or a theme at all )

Good point. Fantasy is better than nothing, but I probably wouldn't buy it.

So we got our first look at the theme park. There's this brick built bat looking creature, more like a cat with a parrots wings.

Damn shame this isn't an actual theme.

I hope we actually do get sets at some point.  The creature does look interesting.  It could be a great theme if they do it right.  I guess only time will tell if we actually see sets.
