It looks that way. I like this model, I prefere machines/trucks over cars so I will buy this little nice set.

lol, a "hydraulic excavator" set without pneumatics... which i think also really hurts the bucket articulation

 

Doesnt look too bad though, but i guess looking at it, it is a bit feature sparse, and LAs in place of pneumatics is just a bit meh

True, last time in 42060 from 2017, but it was very small amount. And as I often look at sets as part packs, this one is great for me. It looks good, has parts I do not have in my collection and it is a machine I want (to have and to build as a MOC in the future).

Called it, it's just normal MLAs. I'm really happy to see the old tank treads return, I might buy this one.

And this panel you are talking about is biscuit part, introduced not so long ago.

Agreed, this would've been an opportunity to introduce a medium length thin pneumatic cylinder

yes that would be great since I missed them in Volvo (financially Volvo is out of my reach) 

At least this small set will be great parts pack

I think it's the biscuit 3x3 piece. The panel piece doesnt have holes at one end like that.

Is that a 3x5 L-shaped liftarm with axleholes at the ends and at the corner?

I like the old style treads being used as treads again, that hasn't happened too many times for a part that's over 40 years old.

Beyond that I'm not sure about the looks, doesn't feel like it has exactly correct proportions and using LA's where pneumatics would've been better isn't that great too.

Still probably going to get it, as it's by far the most interesting model in the first wave (though I haven't seen the hovercraft yet) and looks to be a good parts pack.

The treads run on gears, so this puppy is gonna be useless on smooth surfaces. Bit of a step down from 42023.

All treads are useless on smooth surfaces, sets like 60222 have an axle connected to a wheel in the middle so that the treads turn when you push the thing around. I guess the rubber inserts for newer treads could help here but very few sets include those.

Maybe its got rubber wheels on the inside.

Anyway, looks well finished, will get this one.

The bucket linkage looks similar to 8419s, which i also own since new.

At the top of the arm it definitely is a new l-beam, with curved (reinforced) backside to fit the 3x7x2 and 3x11x2 rounded panels
