Ngoc Nguyen Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 It contains neither hydraulic nor pneumatic. Quote
1gor Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 but it looks like some new 2 x 3 L shaped liftarm? Quote

Vectormatic Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 lol, a "hydraulic excavator" set without pneumatics... which i think also really hurts the bucket articulation Doesnt look too bad though, but i guess looking at it, it is a bit feature sparse, and LAs in place of pneumatics is just a bit meh Quote
J159753 Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 we haven't seen the old-style caterpillar tracks in a long-time, have we? Quote

True, last time in 42060 from 2017, but it was very small amount. And as I often look at sets as part packs, this one is great for me. It looks good, has parts I do not have in my collection and it is a machine I want (to have and to build as a MOC in the future). Quote
Bartybum Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 (edited) Called it, it's just normal MLAs. I'm really happy to see the old tank treads return, I might buy this one. Edited November 24, 2020 by Bartybum Quote

Oh yes, Jeep also is on my list :D And this panel you are talking about is biscuit part, introduced not so long ago. Edited November 24, 2020 by keymaker Quote

Indeed I have just noticed that but it looks like small yellow panel #22 in yellow like in 42114 Volvo on the right side Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Looks like a slightly scaled-up redo of the excavator from 42023. Quote
JintaiZ Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 (edited) Pretty good functionality, but I wish the looks were better... And I'm not a big fan about the blue pins... Edited November 24, 2020 by JintaiZ Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 BWE bucket in DBG looks cool. So, is this thing still coming out in March, then? Because it's pictured with the sets slated for January. Quote
Touc4nx Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Cute little set, It reminds me of this one : As it was one of my first technic set, I might get this one :) Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Looks like this one could have a good B-model. For some reason, I keep imagining it as something arctic... Quote
howitzer Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Is that a 3x5 L-shaped liftarm with axleholes at the ends and at the corner? I like the old style treads being used as treads again, that hasn't happened too many times for a part that's over 40 years old. Beyond that I'm not sure about the looks, doesn't feel like it has exactly correct proportions and using LA's where pneumatics would've been better isn't that great too. Still probably going to get it, as it's by far the most interesting model in the first wave (though I haven't seen the hovercraft yet) and looks to be a good parts pack. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 The treads run on gears, so this puppy is gonna be useless on smooth surfaces. Bit of a step down from 42023. Quote

All treads are useless on smooth surfaces, sets like 60222 have an axle connected to a wheel in the middle so that the treads turn when you push the thing around. I guess the rubber inserts for newer treads could help here but very few sets include those. Quote
Polarlicht Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Maybe its got rubber wheels on the inside. Anyway, looks well finished, will get this one. The bucket linkage looks similar to 8419s, which i also own since new. Quote

At the top of the arm it definitely is a new l-beam, with curved (reinforced) backside to fit the 3x7x2 and 3x11x2 rounded panels Edited November 24, 2020 by Rudivdk Quote
