evancelt Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Technic ball joints work well as cannon balls and you can stack them diagonally on a regular lego plate. Using jumper plates, you can align the balls with the grid. The spacing is slightly farther apart that wayand the balls don't stack quite as high that way, but it's in alignment with the grid. Quote
LM71Blackbird Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 They have a very satisficing look when they are all stacked up like that. I have also used them on the rear of a brick-built cannon. Quote
PxChris Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 It does make for a very nice look. Certainly more visibly appealing than the standard 1x1 round brick. But there's something in my old heart that will always just feel that this is just the way that cannon balls are supposed to look... Quote
GeoBrick Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Great, now LEGO has to come up with a wider barrel for its next-generation cannons. They look nice, especially when stacked, but I see them more as a heap of boulders for catapults en trebuchets. Quote
