Hbot Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I can't seem to find any way to download LDD 4.3.12 on the Lego website, the latest version they offer is 4.3.11 and I'm unable to connect it to the internet, let alone update it. Is there anywhere else I can download the latest version instead? I've found a few sites on Google, but I want to make sure I'm getting it from a trustworthy one. Quote
Stephan Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Well, basically 4.3.12 doesn't exist. It's 4.3.11 with some added bugs. Quote
Hbot Posted September 19, 2020 Author Posted September 19, 2020 Just now, Stephan said: Well, basically 4.3.12 doesn't exist. It's 4.3.11 with some added bugs. I see. Is there somewhere to get some of the pieces I can't find in 4.3.11, stuff like the alien heads from Galaxy Squad? I was going through the 'Official Sets made in LDD' thread and noticed a lot of pieces that I couldn't find for myself. Quote
SylvainLS Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 If you have the real 4.3.11 and not the 4.3.12 which says “4.3.11” in Help|About, the brick version is 2670. If you don’t have 4.3.11 or if the brick version isn’t 2670, see https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/149308-lego-digital-designer-install-problem/ there’s a link to a correct copy of 4.3.11 installer and several explanations on how to install it on Windows 10 if you have troubles. Click on the furthest item to the right upon startup of LDD (LDD Extended) and you will find all the parts LDD has to offer there. You just have to color them yourself, as it (and LDD regular, for that matter) are not accurate on colors at startup. It's handy to have Bricklink open at the same time as building, to cross reference the pieces you are unsure about color-wise. For me, it's almost gotten to the point I can name them off the top of my head with most regular bricks, unless it's an obscure part / color or the part / color is really brand new. Best of luck to you on your LDD journey, @Hbot! Quote
Hbot Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 @Sylvain's solution worked, I've got the proper 4.3.11 now and all the new bits it has! I didn't know .12 was actually a step down from .11 in that regard, but live and learn. Thank you everyone for helping me with my question! Quote
