KirTech LAB Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 (edited) Hi! It’s time for new MOC :) I’m glad to show you my Concrete Mixer Truck. The project was started almost one year ago, but I’ve finished it only now. I used KAMAZ 6540 trucks as inspiration. Dimensions: 45 x 12 x 20 cm, weight 1570 g, 2492 pieces. There are no motors here, all functions are manual: - 4x8 wheel drive with working V8 piston engine - 4x8 steering, working steering wheel in the cabin - pendular suspension on rear axles - manual drum rotation - driving wheels drum rotation - cabin lifting - opening doors - opening roof hatch - folding ladder - high detailing: mirrors, lights, spare wheel, fuel tank, exhaust, seats, chocks, additional unloading gutter There are no working unloading system here like in 42112 LEGO set. I wanted to create the drum using only Technic pieces. mpj Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Very good looking model! Much much better than official Lego set coming in August! Quote
Jundis Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Lego should just look at your drum, that's how it can be done without a big mould. Great work! Quote
lmdesigner42 Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Very nice looking cement truck! It's the same size as 42112, but has twice the pieces and more functions. Great backdrop too, it's very industrial and Technic-y. Quote
krtwood Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Looks great! So much more pleasing than TLG's cheesy solution. Quote
howitzer Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Easily the best looking brick-built cement drum I've ever seen as it actually manages to replicate the shape using Technic parts only and without enormous gaps in it. Nice work on the cabin too. Quote

KirTech LAB Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like the model :) I just have no grey background ) I remember backdrops in old LEGO catalogues, and I've decided to create my own landscape :) Quote
KirTech LAB Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 (edited) Hello! Short review of this MOC :) Edited July 15, 2020 by desert752 Quote
PeanutbutterViking Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Just wondering if anyone still has the instructions for this build? I'm really interested in the mixer assembly and drum! Quote
