Professor Thaum Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 the newsettler of Black Rock needed a specialist of metal working. Here comes the blacksmith of Black Rock, near the docks of Shipwreck cove ! C&C welcome, this one took me lot of time and was restarted all over again many times. The bellows was thehardest to design. hope you enjoy it. Quote
Capt Wolf Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I like it! Great job with the irregular base, and I love the illuminated forge. The grill plates are well used there. Nice job with the bellows (would like a better picture of that!). Good posing all around. And nice that the roof is removable. An excellent blacksmith build! Quote
Ayrlego Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Love it! The building is so clean yet detailed and that roof looks great! The AltBricks stems add some nice greenery, the colours all work really well together. I also love the nod to the original castle blacksmith (and one of my first Castle sets) with the backwards black cape and yellow torso. Great work! PS Those bellows are great... well worth the time! Captain Dee Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 This blacksmith is my favorite of your land builds, Professor. The whole thing is very artfully done. It is nice and clean looking while also looking appropriately busy. And those bellows are really nice. Excellent work. Quote
LM71Blackbird Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Awesome build! From the terrain to the interior to the forge, it is so cool to look at! Quote
Bodi Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Very nice indeed, I like the detachable roof, the interior is very detailed, and my favourite part is the air blower. Quote
blackdeathgr Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) Totally different in style than the rest of your builds and I am loving it!!! I can praise the roof enough as I am an avid admirer of exactly that style of roof and I really like the interior and the various tools of the trade. The blower especially is epic. Also I really really like the irregular dark tan base P.S: Are those medium flesh/dark orange tiles used at the finishing of the chimney??? Nice touch! Edited April 10, 2020 by blackdeathgr Quote
Professor Thaum Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 @Capt Wolf : here are some bonus pics of the bellows the bellows the hole where it puffes : and some pics of the built Quote
Garmadon Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 That is a very nice blacksmith's shop, Professor, and those bellows are a great compact design! The hanging chains are an excellent touch too, and that roof is as amazing here as anywhere else I've seen it! Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Like Garmadon I got hooked on the bellows. Really nice design! But the roof and the weapon rack both look great as well. Quote
Spud The Viking Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Really really nice build here. Others have mentioned the bellows and roof, but I appreciate you showing the process of it all too! Quote
Fraunces Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Everything has been said already but I also wanted to say I really like this build! The realism of it all is very very well done. Quote
