Parazels Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 (edited) The crawler tractor with a realistic steering system. It is driven by a one XL-motor. 4 levers let you: - start engine; - select between 2 speeds (forward and rear); - steer. You have to pull the two central levers to turn the tractor left or right. Once being released the steering levers automatically return to their zero position. Update: Edited March 31, 2020 by Parazels Quote
Mechbuilds Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Now if they ever shrink me to technic figure size, at least i'll have a sweet tanktor to ride with. Quote

proran Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 I absolutely love it. Such a clever build. I really appreciate the models with a realistic motorization and that one is a very nice example. Would you mind showing the internal workings? How return to neutral is implemented for the steering levers? Quote

Yes, it was extremely hard to build the robust and compact mechanism with comfortable angles for the levers etc. I had created 10-15 prototypes until finding the best solution. I'll try to take a short video. Edited March 31, 2020 by Parazels Quote
