blackdeathgr Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 (edited) It was dark. I couldn't see a thing. Then suddenly a waiving lamp was seen at the distance. I knew I had reached the right spot. The spot "they" told me to come. Since I was handsomely paid, I didn't even ask what I was carrying. Why should I after all? Spoiler Edited March 15, 2020 by blackdeathgr Quote
Captain Dee Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Ummm... if they really wanted to be secretive, they should've used, like, a black horse. Neat build. It looks rather desolate and unforgiving. I won't even venture to ask what's going on. Nope, I won't ask. I won't ask at all. Quote

And yes, you shouldn't ask. People and cats die because they ask or are curious Quote
Professor Thaum Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 What's going on ? Spoiler I like this base and I'm jealous of all your dark tan / reddish brown wedge plates Quote

You can't imagine how many dark tan wedge plates and normal plates in general were put on sale! Needless to say all these vanished within two months. Edited March 16, 2020 by blackdeathgr Quote
Keymonus Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 A little late at the party, but very nice build! I like the barren terrain and the little scene going on. My only criticism is that the first build is probably a little too dark, while the second one (still dark, but some details visible) is perfect for a night scene! Quote

I made many versions of "night" photos but I wasn't sure how dark the main one should be and as the initial idea to have a light brick on above the MOC was scrapped (for technical reasons), I ended up uploading all threee photos. Khorne Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Neat simple MOC. I like the landscaping with the irregular base. It does look a bit barren perhaps? Regarding the photography, I kind of agree with the other that the first photo is rather dark and it is difficult to make out some details. I get the effect you were going for, though. I don't know if you have access to Photoshop or the likes, but what they commonly do in movies to portray night scenes is to throw a blue filter over daylight footage. That way, you get the crispiness of a daylight picture but the dark blue filter conveys to the audience that it is taking place during the night. Quote
