Professor Thaum Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 A barrier reef now, but once probably a full island. Anyway this is now a pirates lair on high seas far away from shipping routes and patrols. let me introduce yourselves the Penn Ar Bed : Quote
Roadmonkeytj Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 I love the sunken ships! Or waves? Perhaps they are waves ... My tired eyes decive me. Quote
Professor Thaum Posted January 28, 2020 Author Posted January 28, 2020 Waves ! that's the point. Quote
Ross Fisher Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Nicely done. Can you show us some closer angles on the settlement? Quote

Wellesley Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Cool hideout. Fantastic rockwork and outlay. I like the bridge and the little hut in the middle. Quote
Fraunces Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 I love this concept and it turned out quite good. No location decided yet? Would serve perfectly alongside one of the coasts of the Rock in zone 31. Quote
Professor Thaum Posted January 28, 2020 Author Posted January 28, 2020 A hideout is a... hideout, so its location isn't displayed on the forum. You may have a look to our Black Flag thread Quote
blackdeathgr Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) Brilliant idea, excellent medium sized ship, rockwork and integration of living space! If I had to change something, it would be to build the "pier/bridge/promenade" with tiles (the way you did at its end) rather than palisade (log) bricks as I believe it would look more detailed. I totally understand that it would need another couple of hours though. Still a great MOC!!!! More close ups on the caves and hut please!!! Edited January 28, 2020 by blackdeathgr Quote

Kai NRG Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 Really cool job making the hut round and building those caves! Quote
LM71Blackbird Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 A really great build overall! The caves are nice and that but is awesome! Tying it all together with the palisade brick dock finishes it off nicely! Quote
KotZ Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Very cool work! I love the angles used! How'd you get that in LDD? Quote
The Neighborhood Merchant Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Fantastic build! Absolutely love the ship and the whole idea/layout of the place. Nice rock-work and very slick hut! Quote

To have such an angle, it is just a rotation of the whole pier around a jumper's stud. The jumper is at the top of the pillar (of 2x2 round bricks) beneath the man with the gun and the axe. Quote
Ayrlego Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Love the hideout! Sneaky pirates - someone should probably do something about them! Quote
Roody Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 That bridge looks like its made out of bones and rope! Looks awesome, nice build! Quote
Captain Dee Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 That's quite a hideout. The rocks look rather unforgiving, which I suppose would be a good thing for the pirate inhabitants. The huts and rope bridge look great. Quote
Keymonus Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Wow, this is an impressive build! I will surely copy the rope bridge, but the barracks hidden in the caves are very well done too! Despite it is a LDD, the minifig posing is well realized too (I know it must have been quite a pain). One of the best hideouts I’ve seen up until now! Quote
