Mechbuilds Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 This ldd shows basically the width and height of the axle that's needed. The height is max height when springs are compressed. So one stud down is fine. Tyres can be moved one or two studs forward or backwards if needed. Here is a pic where the axle needs to connect to: So literally no room other than the frame to connect the axles to. I wish it would be possible to have a suspension for this. The front wheels will steer so the back wheels need to be driven. Only have 1-2 L motors for rear axle drive. Also i want to use axle hubs instead of mounting tires on axles because they do slide off (loosen) over time and don't really appreciate weight put on top. This is a crane btw. Link to the LDD Quote

Mechbuilds Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 I might go with double wheels in one axle instead of two axles because it's easier to make just one axle instead of figure out how to implement two.. This is how you make very durable double wheels with arocs scale wheels. Now just figure out how to attach this axle to the 5x7 with diff inside. The distance between the frame and stud holes of the hub is 2 studs. But if i use portal hubs, i can mount the portal hub directly to the frame. Then how to attach it to the frame with springs and what about the motor.. Aaand everything needs to be durable.. That's why i prefer using studs to connect the wheels to the axles instead of axles. Axles tend to loosen or break half beam parts. Especially when a moc is starting to get considerably heavy. Quote
Jim Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 @Mechbuilds I do recommend using a different file sharing site than mediafire. Members are not keen to click on such links. All kinds of stuff pops-up and it's not to be trusted. Use dropbox or google drive instead. Quote

Once i figure out how it works. Quote

Mechbuilds Posted February 2, 2020 Author Posted February 2, 2020 Fyi about this thread if somebody just stumbled upon it. This axle is no longer needed. The whole thread can be deleted or locked. Quote
