I guess me saying "everyone" isn't fair to everyone outside that narrow availability. Hopefully they will do a polybag or something of the sort.
Legocity2713 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Called it! Interesting that its pretty much the same build as the HYDRA tank from 2014. It looks really good, but watch this be more expensive than the regular release set
ToaDraco Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 (edited) Overall it's a cool set with good figs but Taskmaster without a hood looks awful and what is with those awful shields!? Why couldn't they have printed silver Cap shields, seriously. At least more people will have a chance to get it than they would have but this is going to sell out faster than the Bespin duel set. lego_guyon02 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 With only 230 pieces this could've been the perfect set to hype people up for BW's release, given that the current set is already pretty old and no longer does much for the hype. But why..... WHY the hell is this a US exclusive?! I get, I really do. Comic Con needs there exclusives but there's a right and a wrong way to do that. Star Wars just gets a brickbuilt Nebulon with a printed piece, DC gets a small build with 3 reused figures but what does Marvel get? A cool build with 1 reuse and 2 exclusive figures, one of which is one of the most requested figures of the last few years! I can't even remember the last time I was this angry
GoldenNinja3000 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 This new set looks incredible, but I’m so pissed off at LEGO’s decision to include two exclusive minifigures in the SDCC Marvel sets for two years in a row now. Yes, it’ll probably be available to a much larger number of people now, which is great, but for everyone in other countries it’ll still be hard to get. I like it best when LEGO does exclusive sets like the Wonder Woman one- repeated minifigures with a unique build and an exclusive print. I really hope this is available on Shop@Home in the US, and at least aftermarket prices for people in other countries will hopefully be closer to $100 than $300. I totally get how irritating these sets being exclusive to the US is, but seeing as how they were meant to be exclusive to an event in one city before this I’m glad they’re more widely available at all.
ApocSlay Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Do we know when they will be available if they are S@H? CC will be happy if I can get this from S@H. After buying Arsenal and ATOM in the last two weeks I don't want to be adding another $300 to it
BrickBob Studpants Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Interestingly, this set and the Nebulon B Frigate still have the SDCC logo on the box, which the Bespin Duel, Wonder Woman and Toad sets didn‘t. I assume the versions they’ll sell on s@h will have similarly redesigned boxes Anyway, I sincerely hope that at least Red Guardian will show up in a polybag set next year, similar to the SDCC-exclusive Cptn Marvel. Maria Rambeau’s head on the other hand is still exclusive to that set, so I expect at least one of the figs to stay exclusive as well

SDCC exclusives really suck if they're done like this, it's basically a middlefinger to about 95% (if not more) of the fans
Lionbear8 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Really disappointing that its only available in the US. Us overseas folks really don't get looked after.

Borex Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 (edited) The shields are really lame. You can give this set exclusive figures, then you can also print some real shields. In that way you could even make a bigger middlefinger to all of us not living in the US or Canada. And that is what you really love doing, right Lego Bosses? Edited October 1, 2020 by Borex

Pchan1983 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Argh i want the red guardian and white outfit for black widow.... interestingly the set is listed on brick and pieces already for missing/broken parts.

I guess that makes it fair? How, why and in what universe would that make it fair? When it comes to exclusive LEGO things America gets way more than any other part of the world. And going of your logic these US-exclusives should also be available in South-America, Africa, Asia, Australia etc.
