Either that or the purple and gray outfit she wears when she hurls the magic birds at Won Won. Edited July 28, 2020 by sebastian666

Basically, as we have seen the packet we know 9/16 figures (Professor Sprout, Neville, Bellatrix, Luna, Dumbledore, Myrtle, HBP Harry, Kingsley, Griphook) so there are only 7 unknown. If you could 'Spy' just one more figure on the packet, who would it be? Or in other words, if there was just one more figure in the CMF, who would you choose? Character, their outfit and accessory, and why. My choice would probably be OotP Tonks, probably in her Ministry battle outfit and coming with multiple colors of hair pieces. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of other characters I’d like to get for the first time or get proper updated versions of, but I think it would be a shame if the only version of Tonks we ever got was the HBP one in the Burrow - that movie really screws over her character in terms of development, so the only representation of the book Tonks that is such a fan favorite is really in the OotP movie.
Brickity Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 So the new sets have been here in non-official stores for I don’t know how long, I will pick up a few later in the day

I really just want the Hedwig, and it would be great to have to hold me over for the DA reveal :)

In comparison, I think the other version is a bit too bland for a CMF.

Parker's beanie/hair mould from Hidden Side would work perfectly would it not?

Its pretty bland for a cmf but I cant think of anywhere else it could be included other than the astronomy tower.
RogueTwo Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) Personally I feel that the Hidden Side hat would be a poor match for Hermione (definitely the best existing mold though). Maybe it’s just the picture, but the shape of the beanie looks way off. 5 hours ago, The_Chosen_1 said: I have a July 31 birthday! If the big reveal happens to coincide, it'll be a great day indeed. GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I’m really hoping Diagon Alley is revealed soon since I’ve booked my ticket back to university and the amount of LEGO I can bring back entirely hinges on whether or not I need to buy Diagon Alley before I leave and drag it there with me

I first thought of that as well, but I agree with @RogueTwo and @Accio Lego, it doesn‘t really fit Hermione and if there‘s one type of LEGO product where a piece like that could easily be introduced, it‘s a CMF series 7 hours ago, Surge said: I also hope we get a Draco in his suit. Crud, I forgot about Draco The only version of him I would accept in a CMF series would be his GoF appearance with a ferret as an accessory. Anything else would feel like a wasted spot to me. So we’re down to two interesting minifigs in the worst case scenario (that scenario being Ron, Hermione, another Harry, Draco, a random student and 2 others). In the best case scenario it would still be five interesting minifigs since Ron and Hermione are the only ones among the remaining seven that have to be included no matter what The truth will probably be somewhere in the middle (e.g. Draco being the only other student being included and no second version of Harry)
chris6507 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 (edited) Well here is a new case study for you @Lego-Freak. Do past CMF packets present the best of the series on the front of the packet or are the best normally kept hidden? :-D See if you can develop a new model to determine whether we've seen the best or whether the best is yet to come! :-D Edited July 29, 2020 by chris6507

And even then, people tend to score something in comparison to other things, so the ratings the 9 we know of would get right now are not necessarily the same ones they‘d get once the rest is unveiled, depending on whether the unknown ones are better or worse
chris6507 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 (edited) You've already put more thought into it than I did! Rofl. One interesting thing to note though looking at the past CMF is that the Harry Potter that did not form a part of the trio set was the one on the packet Whilst all 3 matching (year 3 I think they were) ones were not shown on the packet. I still wonder whether there is some substance behind the idea of the polyjuice potion trio making up 3 of the remaining 7. The previous CMF series also had 2 figures both of which had dual heads and alternate hair for different characters which could also be another hint at that happening. Although this is kind of two aspects of the previous series blended together. Personally if we have to have a trio. I would prefer this as it means we get two extra characters we don't have whilst also ticking off the required trio. Sorry, just did a quick comparison between the two CMF packets and they actually seem to be very closely mimicking each other: Invisible Harry - HBP Harry (Unique Harry's) Dumbledore - Dumbledore (Dumbledore Variant) Voldemort - Bellatrix (Villains) Trelawney - Sprout (New Hairpiece Teacher) Cho Chang - Moaning Myrtle (Ravenclaw Student) Mad Eye - Shacklebot (Order Members) Neville - Neville (Neville Variants) Luna - Luna (Luna Variants) Dobby - Griphook (Short Big Ears :-D) Hermione - Hermione??? (Hermione Variant) Harry - Harry??? (Harry Variant) Ron - Ron??? (Ron Variant) Malfoy - Malfoy??? (Malfoy Variant) Dean Thomas - ??? Cedric - ??? Flitwick - ??? To me it is feeling like there are only three potential spaces left to fill. I recon there is going to be another teacher in Flitwicks place (Maybe Lockhart) and they wont do Cedric and Dean again, so whoever fills their place. Edited July 29, 2020 by chris6507 Forgot Dean Thomas from the list.

Hi, (sorry for my bad English again), There was 16 figures in the cmf1 not 15. I think you forgot Dean Thomas in your list. Interesting comparaison there !!! Imo, to complete this, I think it would be cedric = tonks (purple hair) or pomfrey (hufflepuff) and flitwick = Gilderoy (ravenclaw) But I really think that we'll get Gilderoy in the DA with F&B build. And what about Rita Skeeter... I really want that figure =D
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 How about Lucius as a counterpart to Draco from S1? I know that Lucius has good chances to appear in DA, but I have my doubts they’ll want such an important character to stay exclusive to a 400$ set. Same goes for Lockhart, who could fill an entire CMF by himself with all of his costume variants

But I would much rather characters we don't have if I had to choose between the two.
williejm Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I’ve recently been pondering if the DA set might NOT include Gringotts. That would allow them to go all in on a few more locations in this set, and hold back Gringotts for a stand-alone set which could include the subterranean element.

Both Gringotts and the Leaky Cauldron could easily be stand-alone sets, rather than part of Diagon Alley. Gringotts is more likely to be a stand-alone, though, since Lego has shied away from making pubs before (note the lack of Moe the Bartender in the Simpsons line, and the rumoured cancelled Moe's Tavern set). Including the Leaky Cauldron as part of a Diagon Alley D2C would allow them to include an iconic location without focusing on a place which sells alcohol.
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 (edited) Leaving off Gringotts would be an incredibly bad move though As I’ve said before, a 400$ DA needs to be as complete as possible. You can’t expect customers to buy a set like that with one of the most iconic and important parts missing and for them to patiently wait 9 months to buy it separately That’s like selling a UCS Millennium Falcon without the cockpit and then releasing it separately 9 months later Edited July 29, 2020 by Lego-Freak
