Balrogofmorgoth Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 It is disappointing that there are two Hermiones and Harry’s from OOTP and no Ron for OOTP

Still I do love the sound of all these sets. I hope it's Battle of the Ministry. Harry could be excluded like in the Beauxbatons Carriage and we could be getting Voldemort, Dumbledore, Bellatrix and Lucius.
BrickBob Studpants Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I wonder if the rabbit is the CMF bunny mould or a new one. The otter has be to new Let's hope a regular otter also shows up at some point, maybe in a City set or a CMF series. I mean, the stag mould still only exists in trans-light blue The only disappointing thing to me so far is the lack of bad guys and members of the Order. I guess that's what the CMF series is for
Balrogofmorgoth Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I’m also bummed there’s not a single Death Eater or Order member
RandomSniper109 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 The grawp set sounds good, but the da set doesn’t sound the best, I don’t understand why people are so happy about patronus’ they are cool but aren’t very useful. An inferi cave would have been so much better for pieces (a new locket, inferi for army building, and loads of rock pieces) and for things we have missed in the past

Arthur and Molly will very likely come out next year with the Burrow. I stil hope for Lockhart, Sprout and Pomfrey to come out with the CMF, probably Dumbledore with baby Harry and a new McGonagall as it was previously suggested.
Balrogofmorgoth Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 It’s almost nothing but Hogwarts students this year

Yeah but that would still leave out cursed hand dumbledore, ginny, the weasleys (especially Ginny and Arthur) Snape (we already have him, but it's literally his movie. Besides fully black robes would've worked better with the theme of the later movies) Just now, RAMcGonagall said: I still think the locket will come out with Kreacher in the CMF Yeah I second that. BacktoBricks Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) So far if there is one thing I have concluded from the previous Harry Potter sets is that Lego has done a good job of making sure that the sets and the CMF cover the films well and that the line up for the previous CMF made more sense once we knew what sets were coming (putting Cedric in to fit with the later Graveyard set for example). Going on that, I can't see them missing out the necessary Order members or Death Eaters it will just be a case of whether they appear in that last set (or any unknown sets) or in the CMF. RandomSniper109 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 The set choices are very strange this year, privet drive would have been so much better if it had tonks and mad-eye etc on broom or do it next year for Harry leaving privet drive with hagrid and his motorcycle and some Harry variants in different clothes
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) So we've got 4 regular June sets, and one other 40€ set (could be June, could be August). We've also got the Advent Calendar, CMF series and a rumoured (not sure if it's a legit rumour or not) "big set that's not a playset. There could also be other unknown sets (like last year), I feel this situation is similar: 4 regular June sets (Patronus, 1st Challenge, Hagrid's Hut and Clock Tower), while this year it's Classroom, Forest, Private Drive and Astronomy Tower, plus one a little more "off the record" set (Knight Bus), while this year is the 40€ unknown set. That means we could still get an August wave with one or two sets. Personally, if I was the one to choose those sets, I think we need the Inferius Cave set and a Ministry Battle set. DNSNVN01 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I love how many forest builds they gave this time around with Aragog, expecto patronum, whomping willow and now grawp. Compared to 2011's "forbidden forest" this one actually feels so much more like the forbidden forest

I completely agree with those extra sets, and they would fit in very well with the prices of last years sets, £25 for inferi, £40-50 for ministry

I also imagine that there will be characters in the CMF to complement the Privet Drive set so that it can be an appropriate location to either film 2 or 5 e.g. Tonks or Kingsley or a Polyjuice Harry.

Voldemort would be a stupid inclusion as he'd be almost exactly the same as the Graveyard version. It would be nice to get HBP Dumbledore but not absolutely necessary, I'd rather get a Ministry set with almost all characters being new 4 minutes ago, Balrogofmorgoth said: It’s almost nothing but Hogwarts students this year Last year people complained about there being barely any students in the sets..... Only a matter of time i guess 2 hours ago, Falconfan1414 said: It wouldn’t surprise me if the horse piece is just a reuse of the trolls one I would not be surprised if the mould is new. Lego makes different moulds of the same thing for minidolls and minifigs all the time, just look at the animals The centaur will make a lot of AFOLs outside HP very happy I think
lego_guyon02 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 We're not getting any news on the $40 set today. It does exist but it wasn't present at the TF

Yeah I'm pretty happy with what we got here. I think Lego is really listening to us for this theme, for which I'm grateful.
Pulp Detective Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Both the OotP and HBP movies barely had any sets covering them yet Lego decided to waste a slot this year for a remake of a set based on CoS.Well atleast I know which set I won't be buying.
Balrogofmorgoth Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I like getting students I just prefer characters like Order members and Death Eaters and such
