Darth_Ewok Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 here's a link to them on S@H: http://shop.lego.com/leaf.asp?cn=236&d=7&t=3 I don't really like them. they gave the guns goofy names like:XL-4 Voltaic Launcher, Plarxx Radar Ray, twin Quintronic Beam Emitters, twin Sonic Screamers, Kinetic Launcher, Cryothermic Cannon, cosmotronic ray First they make a crap theme. then they add guns that they don't even acknowledge as guns! instead they give them stupid names that sound like something out of power rangers!! *devil* and the dinosaurs are to big and bulky. these really suck. if lego continues crap themes like this then the whole company is going to hell . though I do think the tank would make a good artillary cannon for brikwars... (sorry about my spelling, I just got off a LONG plane flight)

Still probably not going to pick it up, but it looks better than I last remember seeing it. As for the guns thing, again, I dunno, I'm kinda glad Lego made sci-fi things that make no sense...it'll make certain constituents that buy Lego happy, and if that means they buy more Lego, then I'm all for it. The Middleman Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 The heli uses a little too many of those pieces from Jango Fett's Slave 1 for my liking, and I can't shake the feeling that the tank looks like a giant - well, you know where I'm going with this - with treads. As far as the green projectile... :D

Actually, I really like it, especially the "tail-end-thing". I can't do anything with the guns, but with a little refurbishing here and there it could make a great rescue-chopper. Would even look better than the 7044... As for the theme itself... umm... not mine... :/
xwingyoda Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Well the minifigs are pretty good in this theme !!!! I will definitly buy the smaller sets because the vehicles are not too oversized (like the 3 others and the prices are not that bad). Oh well, overall TLC could have avoided that whole theme ;)

I collect castle so these don't really say to me "come buy me!" but they have some merit. The dinos look much better than they did at the toy fair. I think I will get a few and see if they are okay. If anyone liked a scifi dino theme idea you could build weapons and a seat of some sort onto the back of the larger dinos. Those would be pretty nice I bet. Something like this

Flail Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Sorry, but I have to disagree with almost everone. I think this is a very good line. Much much better than I could have ever dreamed given the promo pics I saw. Just goes to show you how evil promo pics are. The two new lines: Vikings and Dino's were miles and miles apart when I saw the early promo pics. Vikings ruled and Dino's sucked, big time. But now that I've seen the final pics, these lines are much closer than I would have ever imagined possible. The dino line is vastly improved while the Viking line, while still great, does not excite me nearly as mush as it did in the promo pics. God, I wish they had left the longboat the was it was in the early pics - that was a PERFECT set! Anyway, I think the dino line is quite good. I like the dino's and the hummer and 'copter are excellent. I will probably have to get a few of these sets, something I never thought I'd say.

If they go on sale (propably soon), then maybe I'll change my mind. However, if I do buy it, I'll only get it for parts. Being a town/city fan, building these Dino Attack models in my City won't look quite right. >-|

The vehicles are amazing *witht he exception of the tank, which is still good), and the dinosaurs are growing on me. I will never be able to get any, however, as they won't be released in Europe. It seems a bit unfair considering the US get the Vikings as well.
