Gray Gear Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 I wanted to build a Mazda RX 7 FD ever since I finished the NSX...but a RX 7 needs a rotary engine... So I was forced to make one :) I have been working on this little guy way too long, and when I finally got it working today, I literally had tears in my eyes Its still WIP, but I am so happy right now. Hope you enjoy. Gray Gear Quote
efferman Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 Cool, unfortunately it will hard to see in a moc Quote
Gray Gear Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Just now, efferman said: Cool, unfortunately it will hard to see in a moc I thought of that as well, especially since the RX7 is double rotor engine. Maybe I'll just leave the front of the Engine open, like in the Video, exept for a front support to hold the crankshaft. This way you could at least see the fron rotor reasonably well. Quote
syclone Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 (edited) Great to hear it did work in the end, looks cute Edited August 16, 2019 by syclone Quote
Gray Gear Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 RX7 progress is slow but steady. A twin rotor version of this engine is already mounted, connected to a 5+R manual transmission. I thought aubout going for a quad-rotor engine, but the rear two rotors wouldn't have been visible anyways, so I scrapped that Idea. Quote
Kio Liex Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 WOW, that is fantastic. Impressive that you have figured it out. Quote
