Hey guys,

iv always loved the black seas barracuda, and last year decided to try remake the kit from my childhood. I got as far as bricklinking the the hull and masts before realising that to have an original would be financially unviable because I wanted it in mint condition. Thus I realised that if I was to have one, I needed to reimagine it. With the brick bounty having redbeard at the helm of his new ship, I tried to imagine how the ship would look many years later, with a newer more tenacious crew. (Note- two surviving crew members looking s little different)

anyway, hope you all like, comments and criticisms appreciated.

I cant not answer a post about the Black Seas Barracuda. He is the legendary, the incomparable, and his name resonates in the hearts of all pirate fans.
Excellent job, and a good proof to silence those who say it is impossible to redo with the current parts. There are some compromises needed of course; I never liked the technique of using a front hull to do the stern, I would have rather opted for something like the stern of the Brick Bounty -2015-, but it's quibble, the ship is instantly recognizable.

This is also a pleasure for the eyes to see him in the current bright colors (light gray, brown)

The Black Seas Barracuda will sail the seven seas forever.

Thank you :)

yeah it really is my favourite, including the queen annes and the imperial flagship. The hull peice as a stern has actually been a bit of a weird one for me lately, I’m redoing an armada flagship and have opted to use arch bricks for the stern, where as for the barracuda it was the closest analoge to the original stern.

The armada flagship is actually proving to be increasingly difficult to modernise as the process is involving a bit of upsizing and iv not even considered the sails yet :/

Really nice tweaks and touches, especially like the captains cabin. You have given the set a nice modern feel.

Not a fan of the figure head though - the original looked better imo. The face looks too 'real' or something...
