quick question. how come I see such lovely quality photos, if each photo is not allowed to be more than 100kb in size? or how do a shrink a photo so that it is a suitable size?

Most people use external image hosting sites, I for example use flickr and copy across the bb code.

Welcome to Euro Bricks! In order to post lots of pictures you have to use an external image hosting site. I personally use Flickr, however there are a bunch of others as well such a Imgur.
