Hello,

I have a question about Lego Digital designer.

I would like to connect these 2 elements, housing 2x15x3m (#18940) and gear-rack 14x2m (#18942).

Can somebody know if is this possible or not? Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Mark

AKAIK, they don’t “connect.”  But you can put the rack into the housing with scaffolding.  (“Scaffolding” means using temporary parts that do connect.)

As you won’t be able to rotate or move them both once the scaffolding is removed, I would advise to keep the scaffolding until the last moment or to correctly place one of the parts before placing the other.

I found the gear rack but where is the housing in LDD?

It under the Technic parts near the very bottom.

And as some help. I use this little build when I need to manually move parts into place. Here is a picture of it along with the housing and gear rack put together

Hello,

which version of LDD are you using? I have been looking for these two parts for over an hour and still i couldn't find it

Use “LDD Extended” mode (menu View / New themes / LDD Extended).

A lot of parts, especially new ones, aren’t in the “normal” mode.

(Housing is under the “axle/pin” icon, rack under the “gears” icon.)

Here's a small tip, search for parts in Bricklink it's much faster. Then look up the part number in LDD.
