The old V1 7x2 cylinders - by attaching some parts to the base, you can make them 11 studs long - which makes them easy to replace:

Good implementation, did you test those on your excavator?

Good, cause that is all it needs @LvdH. The other 2 studs are wasted due to slack.

Interesting choice, would love to see. The top arm cylinder will need the base thing extended a little, like 2 studs.

This would be the second model not my own at the moment, @mocbuild101 made a test copy too, but his pictures say "brick not found".

Oh sorry, I deleted those photos because I was going to redo it, and take new photos.
