Terrasher Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Hi, this is just a small build I made this afternoon while waiting for a big parts order to arrive. I have the 9496 skiff but I really wanted to make a tan version. I don't know how I feel about the latest iteration of the ship, though - it feels too bulky. So, I made a slimmer, smaller version that does the trick and has enough room for the essential minifigs. I hope y'all enjoyed it! Quote
r5-j2 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 I like this!!..it would be great as a desk ornament, it is small ; but it has all the elements of a bigger build....really nice!! Quote
CIS Droid Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Small, yet practical and accurate to the movie version. Well done. Quote
TWP Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Ooh, I like it, looks great, captures all essential details at a good scale! Quote

Well done. Thank you all! Yes, the skiff is small. I've been looking at its actual scale and it should actually be a little bit bigger. I would have experimented with a larger model if I had the big curved pieces at the front of the newest skiff - which I don't own in tan. I'll surely revisit the skiff once I save some money to place another B&P or Bricklink order, but that won't be for a while. I've got a much larger ship in the works right now. I'll put WIP pics in the lego subreddit as soon as I receive the order. Quote
