agrof Posted October 26, 2017 Author Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) Small progress, building the rear axle assembly. Although it is unconventional in building directions (every connections are vertical on the shafts), it feels rigid enough. EDIT: and the front pendular axle is also on the way: Edited October 26, 2017 by agrof Quote
agrof Posted November 5, 2017 Author Posted November 5, 2017 Some progress, build ability and pneumatics testing. As assumed, the hoses will cause some head scratches yet, but I will do my best to hide them. Quote
1gor Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Tigercat is starting to take shape. For pneumatic hoses I suggest use blue part for additional pneumatic hoses as on front and back from LEGO Unimog U400 as much as possible Quote
agrof Posted November 6, 2017 Author Posted November 6, 2017 Thanks I_Igor, that is the plan, in the grapple boom it was easy to hide the hoses, I need to figure out the most nicer arrangement for the main cylinders + make it match for the steering system. We will see. Quote

Didumos69 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Very clean build sofar . Looking forward to seeing more! Quote
agrof Posted November 25, 2017 Author Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) Another small progress, due to the place needed for pneumatics, I don't plan to add fake engine for the moment, but from the beginning I had an idea to give another nice touch in return. Hereby I reveal the "secret" function: https://www.tigercat.com/feature/turnaround/ At the moment I don't see, how can I integrate the steering system, as worst case scenario I will just leave it off. Luckily the articulated systems are easy to control by twisting the hood or cabin, and I keep the main focus here on the playability. EDIT: pictures about the the turnaround system, it relies on simple linear clutch mechanism. The plate with pin underneath the seat is frictionless. What I am surprised too a bit, how well the joysticks (lightsaber hilts) fit into the , pretty stiff connection, I can disconnect the whole seat assembly by pulling them. BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Oh, now that's something I never saw coming. Very impressive! Quote
Aventador2004 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 I guess I have a lot to learn. It would have been usefull in my TC12 entry. Quote
