A group of Eslandola musketeers relax outside the Falling Leaf Tavern in Hojaroja, on Otoño (The Autumn Isle). After a hard day of guard duty, the musketeers are enjoying some of the cider for which their nation is famous for.

The second of my promised Eslandolan builds on Otoño. I wanted to try something a bit different from my usual, the thatch roof started off as an experiment and the build grew from that! Anyway, hope you greenies like it, I'll license it as a medium artisan in the name of the settlement of Hojaroja. It's been a big freebuild month this month (4 I think?), this will be the last I promise (Well, I'm pretty sure it will be...) :pir_laugh2:

Another really sweet build, great job on the tavern especially the top story.  You've nailed an autumn mood with those colors and trees - speaking of the trees, they look so good without being overly complex!  The only thing I'm not sure about is the roof... I think I'm cringing over such a big slab of one color where the rest of the build is full of gradients.  A few of those hanging tooth pieces in tan to break up the line at the bottom would have helped too, but you may not have any.  Nonetheless a great build, and you are really going the extra mile here building for Hojaroja, thank you!

Another great build from you, Arylego (you've really been going this month! :pir-grin: )!  The trees and landscape colors are excellent, and the inn is quite nicely done too - I especially like the second story there :pir-wink:  We should really get building more on this island; so much great potential!  And I'll definitely second Kai:

Beautiful! The trees and foliage are perfect for the Autumn Isle, and the tavern is impressive in its own right. I agree that there is a certain Rohan quality to it, but that works here. The base and angle of photography do an excellent job of creating a natural feel. I like the thatched roof a lot, but will agree with Kai that just a little dark tan mixed in would have moved this from an A to an A+, so to speak. Eslandola certainly appreciates your contributions to Hojaroja, and now Willem Guilder has a place to get a drink when he stops in on his way back to An Holli.

Very nice! You have indeed captured the special flora of that island perfectly. Also the thatched roof design is both effective and easy replicate :pir-grin:. What I particularly like about your MOCs these days is that you use the colors and their gradients so nicely instead of them using you!

Oh, and I nearly missed that shield used as serving tray! Genius!

Another Beautiful build, Ayrlego. But it kills me you only have 1 picture of it from 1 angle. I mean the photo quality isn't bad or anything, but I think it would allow more story telling opportunities, and I really would like to see more of your buildings. Also you never seem to do interiors for your builds, what's up with that?

Thanks for the feed back Kai. I'll try mixing some different colours in and breaking up the bottom line next time I use the technique. As for Hojaroja (not sure I like the settlement name btw!) I really like the concept of the autumn island, and am enjoying the quite different style of builds.

Waoow... great.. especially the gable... it is so Viking ! or Rohirrim

Thanks Prof, I did think it may have been a bit too Norse, but hopefully it fits in ok!

Thanks Garm, no worries. And yes, yes you should!

Thank you Capt Wolf, glad yo like it. As I said to Kai, I'll try to add a bit more colour next time I attempt a thatched roof. Hopefully Willem Guilder has a safe trip, and enjoys a cider or two while visiting!

Thanks BD. I'm enjoying the combination of colours at the moment, probably one of the reasons I've pumped out quite a few similar builds this month. I can't really take credit for the shield, TLG did that in the Parisian Cafe set!

Lovely trees!  I went to purchase some tree leaf parts in those colors and balked at the price, but man, are they worth it!

Thank you RocketSeason. I've been lucky enough to have been building up my leaf collection over some time, so it spreads the cost! Also some of them are Alt bricks leaves, which can be a good way to bulk up your collection if you are ok with third party parts.

Thanks Mesabi.

If I'm honest I don't really see the point of multiple angle photos of this size/style build as they don't really show anything different that you can't already see. Of course if there is something specific you'd like to see in greater detail, just ask - actually this is still built and sitting in the light box where I took the photo. Also this building only has the two visible sides detailed. The rear two sides are plain bricks!

As for interiors. On full buildings I hate building them - I mean I really loathe having to construct them it always seems like such a chore and not something I enjoy! I will however include them when I think they are relevant to the story/build, like with the doctors office and armoury. And besides, this size building (I've heard the term minifig illusion scale used before) leaves very little room for an interior!
