I wouldn’t say fake news entirely but yeah i don’t think it’s coming this wave

Been watching DHP2 and realized we might eventually have another army figure. While not nearly as popular as dementors, those stone soldiers McGonagall calls down are so lit. A whole courtyard set with those and Neville when he lopped off the snake's head would inevitably be fire.

That's a long ways down the road, but I felt like getting that idea out there. Also I guess those creatures from the cave in HBP could turn up eventually as well.

Here's hoping HP continues forever.

That is exactly what fake news is, if we do not get it this wave then it is fake news! We most likely will get it next wave, but nobody who is talking know that for sure

I wonder which figs that come in the suitcase set, unless there are FB figs in the cmf this is probably the last chance for FB figs this wave and we have not even got Newt yet

I could see us getting the Guardians of Hogwarts, but I don’t see us setting the Inferi, I know the films aren’t completely for kids but I think the Lego will be aimed at kids therefore they won’t include the tortured/murdered victims of Voldemort

I’ve been tempted to get the Dimensions FB sets in case we don’t get any minifigs aside from Serafina and Grindelwald, but it’s £20 for Newt and £10 for Tina, I refuse to pay that just for minifigures ?

Ehh I mean they're essentially just Zombies, and Lego has done those before. We've got Lucius AND Dobby both in the same set twice before and they depict a scene that directly follows Lucius kicking Dobby down some stairs and hitting him with a cane. Their whole relationship is slavery and abuse and here they are in two sets together...

I agree with that, but the difference is, kids love Dobby, I doubt kids even know what the Inferi are, and the background of them still makes me doubt they’ll ever be made

You keep saying that, but is there any real evidence that it didn’t sell well except for the original reaction from fans? I don’t mean to be rude, but I’m just wondering if there are actual sales figures or something. I for one never saw the set discounted, I only saw it drop down to $300 on Amazon for a couple hours one day. That being said, I don’t think Hogwarts would ever be miniature scale because a) who would pay $500-600 for a mini Hogwarts, and b) it would remove most of the playability. The Helicarrier is an impossible thing to capture at figure compatible size which is why I think it was miniaturized, but Hogwarts at figure compatible scale should work given that the set is so huge.

I’m basing what I’m saying on Lego fan reviews, from the videos I watched middle of last year they were saying it didn’t sell well so not to expect any more micro scale sets, I believe one of them was on The Brick Show, but like I said it was middle of last year so would probably take me like 2 hours to find the video, I know it hasn’t decreased in price, but that’s because it’s kinda gained a bit of a cult following, kinda like terrible films do, they know they can still gain money from it from the occassional fan purchase, I just know that Lego have learned from their mistake because they put a post out on their twitter page just after it’s release stating that there were to be a few more micro scale sets to be released but they never were so obviously they realised that they couldn’t shift them upon original release

oh and btw, I didn’t think you were being rude, you were rightfully questioning it ?

I wouldn’t say fake new entirely because they were right with the fact that 75955 was in deed a third movie set but they were wrong with everything else. It’s also newts suit case so that’s a given plus it is heavily rumored that the suitcase will include young dumbledore. I think they will throw someone else in the set but ultimentely this is a more Harry Potter revival then a fantasic beast wave if that makes sense

I’m hoping for the entire gang in the suitcase, I mean what’s the point in a FB wave without all 4 of them (Newt, Tina, Queenie and Jacob) I think it’s obvious we at least get Newt because we get a minifig scale Niffler, are the Beasts confirmed to be brick built or are they more likely to be minifig scale like the Niffler?

I think everything about Moody should be new (new leg mould, definitely new face print, new hair mould, old just doesn’t look right), plus I thought they’d shifted away from using those older hair pieces, I thought that was why Luke had the new mould?

 I think the idea is like build your own beasts so it will mostly be brick built

That'd be a great choice, even the colour matches quite well  I have also been wondering which hairpiece a potential updated Moody would use and I had the Aragorn hairpiece in mind, but this would be so much better

I love that hairpiece but I feel that it might become overused in this theme, I mean Snape, Sirius, possibly Lucius (that hairpiece he used is so outdated), maybe some others, I’d love new moulds for Sirius’ curly hair and a new long hair mould for Lucius, Snape looks fine, but I don’t want Snape to have the same hair as Sirius who in reality (film wise) has completely different hair

I'm not sure how to feel about the newly revealed sets, which leaves me a bit sad. I love HP and got most of the 2010-11 wave, and still think the new Great Hall set is absolutely fantastic. I just don't have that same tingly, totally jazzed feeling that I had when the Great Hall was revealed with the rest of these.

My favourite would be the Whomping Willow. The tree is a bit funky but cool to get anyway, the car is good, and the castle interiors are decent. Snape and Filch make sense for the setting, but I don't think we really needed another Hermione in this set and I'm totally perplexed by "random Griffindor student no.12". Random Ravenclaw student no.x would've been best to round out the houses, but if they weren't willing to do that then why not Crabbe and Goyle? They're quite a presence in the first two films and missing thus far.

I probably find Quidditch unexciting just because I have the other two, so that's my personal bias. Getting stands for all four houses is nice, but the minifigure selection doesn't excite me much, so for me personally it's an easy pass.

The Hogwarts Express is technically good and Lupin is fantastic, but I'll likely just BL him the same way I BL'd Luna from the last Hogwarts Express, and put my money towards Castle/other future structure sets instead.

All in all on the minifigure front, the Great Hall set made me think they were going all in on the figures and giving us most, if not all important/distinct characters from the first two films, but in the end we get tons of Harrys, Rons, and Hermiones and random characters like that Gryffindor boy, the sweets trolley lady, and Quidditch players who are nice but not very memorable or important.

I'm still very pumped for the two Castle sets we've seen and eagerly await that last set of the wave yet to be revealed and the CMF. Just thought I'd share my slight disappointment.

The Ron torso is incorrect, but it’s either the scene with the Ford Anglia or when they go to see Aragog (can’t remember which one exactly)

Well Hogwarts Express was a plesent suprise, even more so given the fact it’s from Prisoner of Askaban!  I guess the worry we wouldn’t be getting a Knight Bus can be put to rest as Lego are clearly doing sets from movies 1, 2 & 3, not just 1 & 2 as we thought.  

I’m loving the Quidditch set and it’s nice to see Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff getting the same love as Gryffindor & Slytherin after all these years.  It has gone 0-100 for   those two houses though, from having nothing to having minifigures, flags, towers

I love the extension for Hogwarts that comes with the Willow, it looks incredible.   Getting Snapes office and the classroom (which I’m assuming is Deffense against the dark arts classroom) is a great edition.  I’m sure that newspaper on Snapes desk is going to be the one with the flying car getting seen by SEVEN muggles.  The dorm looks good but I do hope in the large D2C Hogwarts we getting a bigger sleeping quarters, as there is a few scenes in the movie that happen there.  Maybe the common room with stairs leading up to 3/4 beds with the curtains going around them.

Guys, I’d like a bit of advice, when it eventually comes to it, for a display do you reckon it would be better to have the inside of the model showing or the outside with the figures positioned outside of it?

Honestly? For a prospective second wave, more than anything, I want good minifigures of Moody and Tonks. And an updated re-release of the Burrow. 

Although, now that I think about it, a built-up, Modular-Building-ish version of Number 12 Grimmauld Place would be utterly amazing too. (We got Ninjago City, it could happen.)

Definitely the inside; with the exception of that little balcony bit on the Great Hall, the outside is kind of bland.
