Aren't all new sets in demand? Changing dates are probably due to either earlier production or more likely the original dates were just preliminary. Quidditch is already out in the UK, so in that and the range has already been released. Edited June 19, 2018 by MAB Quote
Captain America Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I'm curious why some believe the D2C might be diagon alley, when a version was released in 2011 and still looks great. New iterations are welcome but $500 seems like a lot for diagon alley, unless it is very detailed and large scale. Quote
LegoAndDisney Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 There's no way a UCS would be so expensive and be Diagon Alley - I refuse to believe it. Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 UCS is Hogwarts but I have bad news, it’s microscale Quote

RealGeronimo11 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 (edited) It's annoying that it's microscale because this takes away the possibility of having sets of more obscure parts of the castle Edited June 19, 2018 by RealGeronimo11 Quote
Praetorian_Guard Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Maybe it´s built on rocks like in the movie and we have some interior inside the rocks and a stand with some minifigures. Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I saw on someone’s Instagram story that it’s $350-450. I’m really mad about it being micro scale. I’ve been saving since February and I was hoping for a large playable castle! Quote

I guess, at least they can focus on stuff like the Chamber of Secrets in other sets to connect together Quote

It would dwarf the latest falcon, and would have to be tens of thousands of bricks. At least this way we get one cohesive Hogwarts, hopefully built into the mountains (something you would never get in the playsets) and hopefully, possiibilty for the chamber, and room for the grounds including stadium, Hagrid's hut, etc. Can't wait to see it!!!!! Whovastron Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Until we see pictures I’m taking this with a large grain of salt. People seem to be believing the HP leaks way too quickly, and a lot of them have turned out wrong. Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 So when I say microscale, I mean like the helicarrier. It is also based on books 1-7 I’m pretty sure Quote

I can agree to some extent but even the Falcon you can still play with figures and you won't be able to do this with the Hogwarts Quote

Brickwraith Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I understand why they would do microscale, it just holds no interest for me, i guess that just means i have more money to spend on other sets. I think that microscale works better with vehicles because with vehicles there is less places you would put the figures anyway Quote

That is why they make playsets based on specific areas. For instance, a minifig scale helicarrier would not be feasable, so they created the hulk set which recreated a portion of the helicarrier. Also, you have the entire architecture series, the creator Big Ben and Tower bridge sets that are not minifig scale, they are display pieces. It's not like this is a new idea. Quote
jdubbs Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 So it is Hogwarts... just not a Hogwarts anyone wanted. Oh well. Quote
Huigberts Builds Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Well that's an easy way of ruining my day. Guess I'm gonna save myself a lot of money since I had almost saved up for the D2C Quote
Legocollinfreak Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 well, I wonder if it will come with the founders of Hogwarts. Quote
