MOMAtteo79 Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) Hi, I would like to show you my wip moc of a ferris wheel for my winter village. I got inspiration from this one, expecially for the gondolas, but i spiced it up a little bit (6 instead of 4, top cover, etc...). Of course i still have to develop everything around it, this is just the wheel for now (and still need to add some more decorations). As I'm new to this forum and I'm back on track after a long dark age I would like to know your impressions and suggestions to get it better before ordering the pieces i miss. For example i have some difficulties to attach more firmly the white plates to the black technic rotor plate. Any ideas? The gondolas are connected via turntables, i guess that there is a little bit too friction on that but it's the easiest way i found. Capparezza Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Uh, that's lovely. Very simple but good looking design. Maybe put something on the axle to stop it from slipping? Otherwise no objections to this build :) Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Looks good! I remember his build had inspired me as well! I think maybe you should have less studs showing on the gondolas, maybe add some more tiles or grill plates. Other than that, you did well! Quote
NewTown Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 This is very nice! I like the small footprint and simplicity. What is the Technic shaft you used and what is the large black webbed piece used as the large centre piece at the rear please? Quote

The only technic pieces are a LegoTechnic, Axle 10 , i guess i should add something to manuallry rotate it and add some friction https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3737#T=A and the LegoTechnic, Plate Rotor 6 Blade with Clip Ends Connected (Water Wheel) at the back https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=64566#T=A connected to the LegoSupport 1 x 6 x 10 Girder Triangular https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=64449#T=A Edited April 6, 2017 by MOMAtteo79 Quote
Fuppylodders Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 I like it! The simplicity and size works rather well for it, I look forward to seeing the finished article with the rest of fhe detailing. Maybe add a gear to the back end of the axle, add a gear to the bottom, join with a chain, then add power functions :D Quote

MOMAtteo79 Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 (edited) Hi, thank you all for your appreciation. These are some more images. I took a booth from winter village market and modified it to make less tall and to add the "entrance" Edited April 7, 2017 by MOMAtteo79 Quote
