offroadcreations Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Here's my newest WIP, the IVY Buggy. I started it after getting the idea for this suspension: use the A-arms backwards on hubs, and it worked. I immediately got to work on a full MOC, and this came out of it. Last night I made some stickers by using official Lego ones and combining and recoloring them. Today I worked on it some more and fixed some problems. I don't know what I will do with the fake engine, since it doesn't work. Please tell me what you think and have a great day! Quote
BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Looks good! You A-Arm suspension idea probably won't leave room for a drive train. Maybe you could work on that to make room, and then the engine may work? Quote
offroadcreations Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 I finished it, so tell me what you think! Should have building instructions and rebrickable soon. More pics at Bricksafe. I added more details, too: Especially the engine It was made as a counterpart to the Race Kart, with the same seat, steering wheel, and pedals. Enjoy! Quote
agrof Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Nice one, but the tubing would need some reinforcement. Nice usage of the swingarm pieces, the only thing I can't figure out, how are the hubs attached... What pins are those (3L frictionless)? How are they assembled? Quote

Quote the only thing I can't figure out, how are the hubs attached... What pins are those (3L frictionless)? How are they assembled? It is very illegal, You put the 3l frictionless pins through the hub, then one side of the swingarm on, then bend the other one away from it and put it on the other side of the hub. It also uses old tires and new rims on the back, so It doesn't fit perfectly. Purists be warned! TechnicRCRacer Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Excellent! The rear suspension is cool! I have to admit, I like a lot of paneling, but this buggy makes it fine! The detail in this MOC is amazing! Quote
