fordtruckin Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Elf...sadly I was still in my dark ages when Lord of the Rings sets were available. Santa would be my 2nd choice. Quote
Tech Artist Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I love the Tribal Woman as that was the first Lego Baby(I do own her) but that Sky Diver is just crazy looking and I love the coloring. Quote
Cagast Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Ozil's face is terrible and inaccurate, Elf isn't a special fantasy figure to me (just now I see how similar it is to LoTR elves), the only good thing about Tribal Woman is the baby. So I wnet with Santa Claus. Great bag piece, great hat, just overall well designed minifig. Quote

Some of the minifigures from the same series have them, like the Downhill Skier, but not Santa Why they didn't print the Santa boots is beyond me.... Quote

Just swap the legs of the Wildlife Photographer if you want a set of boots for your Santa Claus. Quote

When randomly selecting (via random.org ) the names, I thought it was to be a head to head within Santa and the Elf. Santa was a really good CMF at the time, and very sought after for a couple of years. But since then, many similar Santas have appeared. The same is probably true of the elf, slightly less popular than he would have been if LOTR and The Hobbit hadn't happened. Plus for his time, the Elf had really quite detailed printing, whereas minifigs in later series are now expected to have good printing as a basic standard. Quote
