offroadcreations Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 (edited) So, some users may remember that in Russia there was an event in June 2016. Some users, especially me, liked this one the best, so I decided to reverse engineer it. I did it at the end of July 2016, but I never posted it here. Here are some pictures of the initial version, which had some problems, especially the suspension. I decided to give it another go using the LDD file I made, and add my own details. So this is what I created... The rear suspension comes directly from @Madoca 1977's PF Buggy 2.^^ LDD: sorryitsconfusing.lxf Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-7147/offroadcreations/downhill-racer-reverse-engineered/ Enjoy! Limga Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Wow! I really like how you reverse-engineered this and other things. I will show this topic to author. I think he will be glad to know that his MOC was reverse-engineered. Quote
Myers Lego Technic Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Interesting! very similar rear axle setup to that of my Green Raid Buggy. Quote
agrof Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 The original and your re-engineered one are both look fantastic! Great work on this, thanks for sharing. Quote
offroadcreations Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 @Limga Thank you! I would appreciate that a lot. @agrof Thanks! @Myers Lego Technic Thanks! Like I said, I used the same one as Madoca1977's PF Buggy 2. Quote
offroadcreations Posted March 20, 2017 Author Posted March 20, 2017 When there is a MOC I've reverse engineered and I like it a lot, I tend to modify it and go over the top. So I've completely redone the suspension, chassis, changed the back of the body, and recolored the body. I tried to give it a bright color scheme like Baja 1000 racers of the 70's. I hope you like what I have done to it.
