Umbra-Manis Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Class: 3T2 (Utilizing the Ol's Best license) A new ship sets sail for the first time. Or maybe not, that guy looks way too lazy to have been hired recently. So I finally built a second ship, after swearing off ships following my first one. I took it much slower with this one, but now some kind of bug has bitten me and I have more ships in progress, C&C welcome! Quote

Brandon Stark Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I like the use of the LoTR sails, along with the color gold, and the rigging. Excellent ship to sum it up. Quote

Bregir Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 She looks fantastic in rendered form, sir! I quite like the colourscheme, and you have done very well with the rigging, given the use of original lego sails. I would still think the bowsprit would have been better in 1x1 rounds, but it works out allright as is. The crew is, if somewhat sparse, very nicely posed, and I think the details on deck like the raised hatches and the ladders make her look well-finished. Great job! I was very happy to see you in the shipwrights thread with this one, and hope to see the others too! Keep up the good work! Quote
Capt Wolf Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I'm not sure how I failed to comment on this earlier. I really like this ship. She has character! The colors, the sails, the string with handgrips for rigging, and the flexible piece for the bow rail are all good. I was surprised she is a 3T2 because of how heavily gunned she is, but she will do the job of a trader just fine. I wouldn't mind seeing another like her as a 4A. Embrace the ship-building bug! Nice job! Quote
Garmadon Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Quite a neat and unique vessel, UM, the colors and sails work really well, and I really like the raised section in the stern as well! Looks like it'll pack a nice punch too, and I'm looking forward to more ships from you! Quote
Captain Genaro Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 A neat, unique little vessel. I haven't seen too many lateen rigged ships which makes this a nice addition to BOBS' fleets. The rigging is a great addition that really improves the masts. In the future, you might consider adding some stern galleries onto your ship. They are certainly not a requirement and many ships did not have them, but I think, especially when you have a great cabin, they are a nice addition. Quote
