CollectaGatherer Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) Greetings to all Lego builders, collectors and enthusiasts. A sad day approaches for Batman? His once loved Batcave and home that gave my son hours of enjoyment is now sitting dormant. Pushed to the back the queue left only in the wake of a PlayStation 4, teenage sleep overs and girls god help us? I just wanted to share this Batman Batcave MOC playset that I built for my son before it gets sold on in time for the new Lego Batman movie release. Many hours were put in to its construction and I believe I used over 11000 official Lego bricks. LED lights were constructed throughout the whole build and are wired through the flooring and walls. I incorporated an IPhone 4 into a purpose built Lego monitor case which can be easily removed. Pre-set radar and scanner sequences were loaded onto the phone that I designed on Sony Vegas Movie Studio to give the look that Batman really did have the top tech to hunt down those villains. As the phone is Wi-Fi enabled it’s comical to watch a young lad discussing with a Batman mini fig what Lego YouTube movies to watch in the actual Batcave? I do not want to break any rules and risk the post being taken down so any advice on the best way to sell the model would be appreciated? It will perhaps be listed on a very well-known auction site in the near future if I’m not allowed to on the forums. Just for now I want to share this once loved Lego MOC build with all the Lego fans on the forum and wish you all well in 2017. I would be more than happy to answer any questions? Here is the ink to the YouTube video for a wider range of pictures and movies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IofCQjgC_pQ Be Well Steve Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Lego Batman Batcave by Steve Webber, on Flickr Almost forgot, Vehicles going with the Moc when sold. mikeright Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 What an amazing build! I'm inspired. So much to love in this build; the lighting is impeccably done, all of the custom vehicles. And the ankle flexibility on the mech!? Quote
terryfay1983 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Loving this! such great work there. Do you think my missus would let me postpone the wedding so i can buy this off of you? good luck with the sale tho. shame it has to go really Quote
Mat099 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) It really is amazing. So much work! Would you mind indicate in wich part of the world you are you located? because I could seriously be a taker! Edited January 27, 2017 by Mat099 Quote
peedeejay Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 This is totally awesome. So many great details. The extra models are also all pretty cool! Quote
Robert8 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 This is awesome! Love how you included references of the villains like the Riddler's hat, Catwoman's whip, Poison Ivy's vine, etc... Congratulations! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Brilliant! It looks like a lot of fun details here. I would love to call it my own. I am in the process of making a batcave with Wayne manor on top. My fear is going too high. Yours works well since it is only a cave. But I like the platforms. The wires and computer works well. I don't think I'll add lighting, but it works really well. I just don't want to modify any pieces or use anything non-LEGO. Good luck selling it. I'm sure you will have plenty of interested parties. Ellisss_2 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Beyond amazing! I have always intrigued with Batcave MOCS, this version is excellent. I love the boat! Quote
yg33 Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 price, location? i would be very interested in hearing more about the design process. Quote
CollectaGatherer Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Hello to everyone. I would just like to say a very big thank you for all the kind words and comments. It really is much appreciated. I live in the UK, sorry if I had not filled out that part of my profile. I'm really not sure about costs to be honest. Perhaps some of the members here could help me out, Do MOC's like this get sold very much? I know I spend around £350.00 on bricks as well as the parts we already had in our Lego collection. Once again thank you so much for your comments. This was built as a play set and has served my son so much pleasure its amazing to see it getting some love before it goes. Kindest regards, Steve Quote
Jayoheazy Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Wow, such an amazing piece. Not sure how to go about selling it exactly? I imagine there's a ton of Batman fans who'd love it but with 11,000 pieces it's going to be a very small market. Good luck! Quote
