The Last of Us is a game that is truly a work of art. It combines scenes of beauty and brutality all while exploring the nature of humanity. With The Last of Us: Part II just recently announced, I thought that it was fitting to build a tribute to the masterpiece of the original.

This build was a long time in coming. It’s certainly the largest creation that I have worked on to date, measuring over 3.5 by 2 feet. I had a lot of fun experimenting with various techniques to recreate the atmosphere present in the game, and I think that they turned out well. It also features my most significant foray into 3D-printing, with one of the building facades being composed almost entirely of bricks that were made in my own basement.

Along with the exterior shown in this photo, each building also features a full interior, as I wanted the build to be view-able from every angle. I’ll be posting many more photos in the coming days, but for now, I hope that you enjoy this one.

A big shout-out to my friend John Moffat, who helped me get started on the project.

I also had a lot of fun crafting the interiors for each of the buildings. It was a challenge to create rundown interiors where furniture and other fixtures were still identifiable, but I think they turned out well.

Let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the build as much as I did when I was building it!

Terrific.

The insane amount of detail these buildings have really brings them to life, all this greebling around to show how much they have fallen apart makes this an outstanding work of art!

That scene in the first picture and the details you´ve put into it is killing me !
Awesome build and photo.

Im not familiar with the game, but it´s how I imagine abandoned zones from the books "war against the Cthorr".

Very well done !

Very impressive. It combines beauty and decay in a very compelling way. Wonderfully arranged and very richmin details. I don't think you can do post-apocalyptic lego better than this. :classic:

I don't like The Last of Us at all and all enviroments in the game were repetitive and boring. But this is fantastic, made in Lego it's most certainly not boring. This is one of the most realistic and best things I've seen on EB. Great job!
