As always, Nintendo do not give many details, oh well I'm sure its going to be greater than the Cube which is a great console !!!!!

Enjoy!!!!

I LOVE the fact that Nintendo has taken the route of full reverse compatibility (even downloadable NES, SNES, & N64 games)... this may just be enough to sell me on the thing in a year or two :-D

Reverse compatability indeed! A PC is all you need to play all of that. Oh, and the right software and knowledge...

I am aware that they can be played on a computer (created an NES emulator as well as a SNES emulator myself ;) )... although I will enjoy the new games for it (I know that, Nintendo never lets me down :-D ), as well as all of the older games as well, on one console... can't beat it *satis*

Are you a programmer Ed?

I suppose that depends upon your point of view... I am not currently employed as a programmer right now (although, I believe the correct term would be computer software engineer ;) )... it is more of a hobby than anything else right now... :-D

Nintendo entertainment systems, both console and portable, are always about games. People who enjoy playing games have always enjoyed the big N. Other companies copy the success. Really without Nintendo games would not be what they are today. Nintendo is the backbone of non-PC gaming. Revolution will no doubt be the best of the next-Gen systems. Not because of huge amounts of unneeded memory space or large amounts of completely worthless copy cat games but because the games and series they have are wonderful. The new Nintendo system will have all the needed systems specs and power to run great new powerful games. The games themselves will be fun and great for parties. Why anyone would spend so much on mindless rehash games for copycat systems is beyond me.

Now if Lego would only do Nintendo liscence tie ins. Oh lovely thought.
