Scorch_Mat Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Hey, I'm new to posting on here however I was wondering what people use to display their lego sets? I'm looking for a way to display my X-Wings with the wings open and also some of the new sets so they look airborne but I'm not really a fan on making the stands out of Lego. Sorry if there is already a topic on this but I couldn't find one already in the forums. Any ideas would be helpful Thanks Mat Quote

I'll cut right to the chase, here's what I've seen so far: some people use transparent elements to display, but that's not always the best if you want to pose them in a dynamic flying pose.. Others choose the "official" way (in that for example some UCS sets are also displayed this way), with a stand constructed from technic beams and diverse plates that hide the studs, this is a good option IMO, because you can play with the lengths if the beams, and it doesn't look LEGO. (In that you can make it in a way that no studs are visible.) Quote
Scorch_Mat Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 Thank you for your fast response! Hmm I really want a clear one its a shame lego don't make their own! I saw these ones which look good: http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/laser-stands Has anyone had experience with these? I might try them and if not just have to go for technic stand like you said. Quote
dmarkng Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I've seen some of those in person. Works for the smaller sets. I'm not sure if it will hold up or adequately display the UCS scaled ones though. Quote
