I've started doing a few Roman MOCs, and here's my first one. This one is a vig of a gladiator showdown in an amphitheatre. Here it is:

A gladiator awaits his next foe:

Another gladiator enters the arena, 'escorted' by a Roman soldier:

The emperor stands safely above the gladiators:

Prepare to fight!:

The crowd cheers as the two fighters engage in combat:

The next foe awaits behind the cage, watching the battle:

Alternatively, the amphitheatre can be used for EB sigfig fights X-D (There can be only one pie :-P):

Enjoy! X-D

Yes! Pie vs. Pie. Fight to the death. Awesome vig, man! I love the red and gold banners. Man, this makes me want to see a Roman theme!! Thanks for sharing. Any chance we'll see some bloody battles take place on that vig? X-D Please?

Awesome vignette! It's got everything that makes vignettes great; cool, accurate minifigs, fitting colour schemes, and great brickwork! The portcullis is great, and the red suits the arches well. The minifigs are very good too, and the ending is also neat! In this arena, you fight for glory, honour, survival, and pie! :-D

Great vignette TinyPiesRUs! Beat that Lord of Pies! :-D

The whole scene looks great, I especially love the Emperors platform and the flags *y*

Like Hinckley, this REALLY makes me want to see a Roman theme. I also love you gladiator.

How dare you! :-P :-D

A very nice vig, fellow pie, I think that the red and gold goes very well together the Roman figs look very good, and the portcullis is effective, and looks good. I use spears facing down usually for a portcullis, but your way looks better!

I unfortunately cannot make your sig fig, I do not have the right head piece, so far now we will have to live in harmony. :-( X-D

Excellent job! You've been on a great building streak, and your photography makes them even more enjoyable! *y*

It's funny, but the amphitheatre also gives me the same feel as the arena battle in Star Wars Episode 2 (obviously what the movie intended, but still). I can picture Jango and crowd standing up there watching as the battle begins below. Built large enough, this could serve double duty in that manner.

Thanks for sharing this! *sweet*

Great vignette, you've really managed to capture the essence of a Roman arena in this small scene! Also, I really like the way you photographed it, it really brings out the drama! *sweet*
