[MOC] [WIP] Starting My First City Layout

Hi,

This project began when my girlfriend and I starting building Lego together and we recently decided to build a semi large city layout. We have several City sets which aren't shown in the picture below as we are just getting started on this layout.

We have 3 Ikea "Linnmon" table tops with "Olov" adjustable legs. Each table can support a 32x32 base plate span of 3 by 6 making the total layout area 6 plates wide by 9 plates long. We plan to keep a walking path on 3 sides of the display area to access all parts of the layout as we won't have gaps in the middle. This also allows for more viewing angles of the city.

My city is the exact dimensions you mentioned with the same tables too. It fills up quickly, so have fun with it! Looking forward to seeing your progress.
